Great Starter Set

Update: You do need to cure the gel polish. This is nice because it gives you time to be a bit slower with the stamp just don’t over scrape or it won’t be enough for the stamper to pick up. Also… again watch out because the gel can make a huge mess. 😅 A lot of the reviews are frustrated with this set but I love it! The stamper is squishy and sticky which is a good sign. The plates are deep enough to get the design. There are TONS of designs for a variety of manicures. I may not use them all but you can’t beat the price of this set for what you get. The polish is kind of goopy and makes a mess but just use some acetone to clean it up. A little goes a long way. Not sure it it needs to be light cured. It says it does on the cap. watched a few Youtube videos on stamping before using this. Some tips to get the best out of these stamps… 1. Prime your silicone stamp. If the stamper isn’t picking up the design well leave it over night on a paper. The excess oils will come out and let you pick up the designs. 2. Go easy on the polish. You need enough to get all of the design but a small dot of the gel polish included works well. You may have to scrape it a few times to get the design saturated, but too much polish will also make the designs less sharp. 3. Getting too many designs on the stamp I saw on Youtube you can use a piece of tape to remove the parts of other designs or the parts of the design you don’t want that ended up on the stamp. It’s a great technique to have a more clean manicure. Again, this is an amazing set. Don’t be afraid of the bad reviews because it does take a bit of trial and error. I’ve only ever stamped once before and with a bit of background knowledge this time around the nails turned out great (minus me being too lazy to do my cuticles for a trial run of the stamps😅).

The perfect pack for any nail artist!!!
Everything arrived as expected and in a timely manner. Each stamper already had the silicone top inserted into the tube ready to use and the 6 replacement stampers were in a separately packaged bag for future uses. I learned the hard way just how fragile the stamper can be, so I got this pack to have lots of backups. I like how the scraper is plastic and will not damage my stencil plates, as opposed to metal scrapers. I also like how there are two different stamper heads in one stamp. Before I tested everything out on my own nails, I did some research to learn more about the process and care for the tools. Nail art supplies can get pretty expensive, so you want to make sure to take proper care of each item to ensure it lasts a while! One major important thing I learned through researching is the importance of NOT using any acetone or alcohol liquid on your stamper… It will damage the material and not work properly or last long. Instead, you can clean the stamper off with tape, lint roller, or paper towel. The silicone stamper is fairly fragile, so always keep the top on for maximum protection. At first, I had to practice and get used to the rolling method of picking up the design from a stencil, as well as rolling the image onto the nail. I practiced with first just a paper towel to gain some muscle memory to perfect the transfer. If you are new to nail art stamping, I suggest practicing with supplies you are not worried about “wasting” while learning. I found that using opaque colors works best to get a solid color fill. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I was super excited to find this set and unfortunately it does not perform.. The designs are beautiful and just what I was looking for but that does not matter if the designs will not transfer! I tried the stamping gel that came with this kit and gel polish and the design has yet to fully transfer!! I feel like they are not etched into the plates deep enough for it to be able to pick it up. The scraping tool that comes with it is plastic and does not scrape the excess off well at all. I wish I had found the time to try this sooner because I would have returned it! Buyer beware, if you order try it after you get it! Maybe my plates are just defective but unfortunately I'm still on the hunt for a good stamping set.

This works wonderful!! It takes a few tries if you’ve never done it before and it Doesn’t come with directions so make sure you do your research. This is definitely a great beginner kit :) A little gel polish goes a long way! And with the stamper, it’s perfect. Wash the silicone with soap and water, let it air dry and you’re good to start stamping . Get yourself some tape and remove the design from the silicone when finished to avoid dust getting on the stamper. Use the tape not alcohol or nail polish remover to get the polish off the stamp it’ll ruin the stamper.. Acetone cleans the stamper plate well. Another suggestion is get yourself a photo album to keep the plates in to avoid scratching.

Can’t wait to buy some more!! I love them. The colors are solid. Good enough for a newbie nail art at home like me. Make sure to mix the color from each tube well since there might be some separation. I cure 5 seconds right after I stamp, and transfer it on to the unwiped polish. If you wanna transfer it on to the matte polish, stamp first and cure after.
