I love Birkenstocks, they are so comfortable I can wear them all day long. I was resistant about this style, just because I was afraid of them slipping off or rubbing against my foot weird, but that did not do either. The style is cute and goes with everything. The color is a nice rich brown. The straps adjust well to fit the foot, they have great support for my foot and arch. They are as expected with the Birkenstock Brand. These are definitely beautiful and great quality sandals, but the toe box was my biggest annoyance. My toes don't curve to the shape of the shoe as my other little toes are longer than my big toe (see picture) so my toes kept hitting the lip of the edge of the shoe and even going over. It was really uncomfortable. The other annoying thing was that my feet kept catching air in between the sandal and my foot so it sounded like my feet were farting when I walked. I only tried them on around the house, but I will be returning them. I was really excited for these since I've heard such great things about Birkenstocks, but was left feeling really disappointed. I've never felt such comfortable material before, but maybe my foot/toe shape wasn't meant for Birkis. ... show more

    • Sizing Can Be Tricky, But These are Comfortable, Fantastically Made Shoes

I ordered a pair of these sandals in size 42 (I usually wear about 9.5/10 in US mens size) and they feel perfect. It is a little tricky trying to find out which size is right for you, I would suggest going to the Birkenstock website and looking at their official size chart if you're having questions. If you do some research, you can be sure that you're getting a size that will fit you correctly. As far as the sandal, I am very impressed with it. It has taken a few wears to really break them in, and the first few times they rubbed the arches of my feet in ways I wasn't used to, causing some discomfort. After a few wears to break them in, I have no more discomfort and these shoes are very comfortable. I feel like these shoes offer me more support and ergonomics than a pair of Nike running shoes. They take a bit of getting used to, but once they are broken in they are great! The build quality is also fantastic and I am sure they will last for years. (What else would you expect from a shoe made in Germany though? They are famous for their craftsmanship). In conclusion, I have no issue recommending this sandal.
