I have known this brand for many years now. My first Birkenstocks that i wore my mother purchased for me when i was 12! Since then it is my favorite summer sandal when i want to be both comfortable and for it to look good! the shoe is "in" again as we can see quiet a few starts wearing them. I can wear this show all day and feel comfortable. The size was also as expected. When first put them on it does take a day or two to "break" the shoe but it does not cause pain or any blisters. the color was also as i expected. it is end of February now and i can not wait until summer so i can rock these sandals again and OFCOURSE buy a new pair in a different color ! On top of that Birkenstock is a German brand and is of a GREAT quality!

My first pair of Birks had leather straps and as a man with hairy feet, the leather would always pull on my hair. I put up with it because the footbed was so comfortable but I literally developed calluses. These Birks with synthetic straps are SO MUCH more comfortable! They have never pulled on the hair of my hobbit man feet, plus they have the same amazing footbed that you can stand on all day without any discomfort. I am not sure if the synthetic straps will hold up for 4 years like the leather straps did, but it’s 100% worth it for the comfort.

Love them so far, but I do have to say the sizing was tricky. For all the women out there who can relate, these Birks are like bras and have "sister sizes." I encourage you to, if you can, try on in a store before you order. I am a size 8, and I have a pair of the Bostons that are a 39 regular width (8 translated to a 39. Or so I was told) I've had them for a few years now and I love them and have never had a problem. Now I do wear my Bostons with socks most of the time, so I think that's why I've been able to get away with them being the "wrong size." When I went to a strictly Birkenstock store to try a pair on, since it had been awhile, they said they've found in their experience that the 38 runs more true to a size 8 than the 39 like the conversion chart says. Maybe its true, maybe its not. Maybe it's my feet and the narrow sizing? Not entirely sure. Like I said, I encourage you to try them on in a store, if possible, before ordering, because they are expensive, BUT SO WORTH IT! Please don't let this deter you from buying. If you're like me, you just like to do your research and make sure you're getting the best product possible!

Very happy with this shoe and its narrow straps. Great look, even in the larger size I needed and seem durable. Was able to hike in these sandals without any issues as the adjustable strap meant they fit well and the curved footbed meant they don't slide off while walking.

I have had Birkenstocks for years, but not this one. I have had the shoes for about 8 months. I probably wore them half that time as I have other sandals and shoes. The piece between the toes came out, making it useless. They do not take returns after 30 days, even if it is defective, which I think it is. They said it was from wear and tear. That does not say much for Birkenstocks. I have had similar sandals from Bass and Clarks , which have lasted for years. I will find other places to buy my sandals.

In introducing was ....for women, but originally it's unisex according to official site. EU size 44 usually for me very nice feet, but I think can be better one size less. It's really 11-11.5 US size for men, mine is 10,5-11, but compare to double less price it's fine for me. Original Birkenstock not less that 100USD, I bought for 60USD. Great product, great price.
