Just finished making v groove siding boards for my shed and for the price paid, this bit had zero problems even through the big knots that were in the boards that I was working with and some knots were up to 3-4" wide. Equally great that you do not need to sharpen, just loosen the bolt, spin the bit, and retighten. The main portion of the bit never wears out, only replace the cutting bits. This bit is an excellent product! Three things stood out for me as an amateur CNC woodworker. 1. First, the bit is MASSIVE. on my 1500-watt air-cooled spindle, it took approximately 3 seconds to wind up, twice as long as normal. However, this imparts a high degree of inertia allowing the bit to power through any tough spots in even purpleheart. 2. Despite its weight it is extremely well-balanced, allowing for even shallow, fine accurate cuts. 3. The replaceable blade makes this bit super cheap to run, having only to replace the blade when the carbide finally dulls. All in all, this bit exceeds my requirements and will continue to be an important addition to my shop! ... show more

At a slow feed and RPMs this bit came apart. Bits of steel in all directions while cutting maple. Be careful if you have one!

This seems like a beast. Works well and cuts very cleanly. I have not yet had to replace the blade but it seems straight forward. I’ve cut various hardwoods, softwoods, and bamboo. All edges are crisp and very little of any tear out or fraying.
