I bought this to temporarily replace the vortex equivalent because I could get it quickly and needed to get doors on cabinets so they could be installed. The media could not be loaded. This bit is an excellent product! Three things stood out for me as an amateur CNC woodworker. 1. First, the bit is MASSIVE. on my 1500-watt air-cooled spindle, it took approximately 3 seconds to wind up, twice as long as normal. However, this imparts a high degree of inertia allowing the bit to power through any tough spots in even purpleheart. 2. Despite its weight it is extremely well-balanced, allowing for even shallow, fine accurate cuts. 3. The replaceable blade makes this bit super cheap to run, having only to replace the blade when the carbide finally dulls. All in all, this bit exceeds my requirements and will continue to be an important addition to my shop! ... show more

This has become a workhorse in our side-gig cnc sign operation. Bigger, heavier, and smoother than our other 60 v-bits. We haven’t changed the insert yet, as it’s still doing a great job on the pine, aspen, Baltic birch, and pvc signs we make. I have a few Binstak bits and none have disappointed.
