Description

Bilstein B8 6112 leveling kits are designed to provide more ground clearance, allow for larger tires, and increase wheel travel. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0-2.75 inches of front lift (depending on application). These kits consist of (2) 60mm shock absorbers combined with (2) custom matched cold wound coil springs and (2) billet aluminum spring seats. The large 60mm digressive piston allows for increased damping control for optimal on-road and off-road capabilities. These shocks made a huge difference in ride comfort and bump rebound. I guess my old 5100's were worn out. Now I can take the neighborhood speed bumps without slowing down. On the highway, all the little bumps and cracks are gone. Very smooth ride. Need to get on some gravel roads and see how they do. So far, very pleased. Not sure how accurate the charts on Bilstein's site are for circlip positions vs ride height. I ended up with way more than I wanted, and had to disassemble the shock/spring combo and move the circlips. Make sure you invest in a good spring compressor b4 you buy these shocks. ... show more

Installed on my 07 FJ Cruiser for 2.5 inches of lift and a better ride/handling than stock springs and Bilstein 5100s. Went with Bilstein 36281817 rear coil spring for a .9 inch rear lift. Feels great on and off road. Don’t forget to upgrade your UCAs if going over 2 inches in the front.

Here is my experience with the new suspension setup on my 4th gen 4×4 V6 4Runner, as I think it could be helpful for those considering similar upgrades. Initially, I was concerned that installing a new elevated suspension would make the ride feel stiff. However, after opting for Bilstein shocks, I must say the results exceeded my expectations! The ride is incredibly comfortable and enjoyable, giving my vehicle a completely different feel. It handles bumps smoothly while also improving overall control and stability. For those looking to adjust their suspension, I made adjustments twice as i first followed the manual's guidance but didn't achieve my desired height initially. To gain nearly 2 inches of lift, I adjusted the clip positions to 8/6; each clip adjustment provides about a 0.3-inch change in height. Here’s a quick reference for those interested: (only 4th gen 4x4 V6) - Positions 4/2 gave me a lift of about 0.8 inches. - For approximately 2.2 inches of lift, use positions 9/7. - For around 2.5 inches of lift, set it to positions 10/8. Everything came out amazing shipping was quick. The only downside I couldn’t really find information besides a previous review about the circlip location which seemed like his setting were a little high. They didn’t provide it in the instructions I received but I did finally find this to help anyone who has a 4th gen V6 4wD 4Runner. Also these are the newer version of the 6112 that they added more circlips to cover more vehicles. The ride quality is amazing I have mine set at 2.5in I was originally around 19” and some change from center to top of the fender and now I’m at 22” from center of the wheel to the top fender. ... show more

Perfect upgrade for your toyota FJ. I used 1-3 combo for ride hight (front) and got 1.5" on stock rig. Ride qualty is much better. The mushy cornering is gone.

It will fit ‘23 Tacoma, get dual action pliers to move circlip. Ignore Amazon’s vehicle fit, it said it wouldn’t fit mine. Check part number vs. Bilstein’s site, it matches. These don’t come assembled (I.e. circlip is not put at ride height you want). Circlip is a B to get into place, recommend getting dual action pliers to move them, I used channel lock dual action pliers to get the circlips into the 11/9 position for 2” lift. All the YouTube videos you watch will have the older B8 6112’s that only have 6 positions, these have 11, there’s a diagram included that has all circlip positions for your model and desired lift height. ... show more
