  • Works great, excellent value
'Have not had it long, so I can't speak for it's longevity, but it seems well made, and works perfectly. One reviewer said that theirs leaked, and while I have no doubts that their tank does indeed leak, mine does not. I did make a few minor modifications though. The hanger wire falls off if you look at it funny, so I closed the loops up with pliers...Problem solved. I also added a tie wrap on the hanger on each side of the hook to keep the hook centered while hanging. I liked that this tank had a petcock screwed into the bottom instead of just a plastic nipple that can break off. The downside is that when you close the petcock up on the tank and disconnect the fuel line below, the line empties out and makes a mess. I added an inline petcock to the end of the line, along with keeping an assortment of adapters and tees and different size short hoses. Note that this tank also includes a return line for fuel injection systems. (That's what that second line on the top is for.) This makes it more comparable to the Motion Pro Deluxe tank. That's great if you need it, but the extra line is in the way if you don't. I just pulled the line off and put a cap on it. The injected bikes I usually work on have no return line because their pumps are located in the fuel tank, so I will probably never use this feature, but it's nice to know I have it if I ever need it. ... show more

  • Well worth the cost
If you work on old school gas engines at all, this is one heck of an improvement over scabbing together other temporary fuel feed systems. This is one of those items which you will kick yourself for not having bought one sooner. On a recent repair of an old school jeep, it allowed me to get the engine running well and simply as a gravity feed while I was still waiting for the rebuild parts for an orphan fuel pump to show up. No fuss, no fiddle. Similar with a 41 Ford pickup with a questionable gas tank that I couldn't trust. ... show more

  • Beyond Awesome TOP Quality
I was positively struck by the especially great quality of this item. All the components, petcock, plastic, rubber and the design and craftsmanship have a special premium feel. First, I thought the container may be a bit too big for my use - at least I may be able to get away using half if it's size for my needs - but I can see how this existing (1.5 Liter) size could be needed for longer tuning sessions. If the one I have bought became lost or stolen, I would insist buy this one again and only this one again in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Good product
works good, fairly easy to set up. Petcock leaks when turned off. I have to use a line clamp if I disconnect the hose and let it hang loose...

  • The second hose on top is a return line line for fuel injection, not a vent
Auxiliary fuel tank is very good, hangs straight and petcock is smooth operating. no leaks. no problems. This tank will work on older bikes with carburetors and newer bikes with fuel injection due to having a return line.

  • Hang the tank over the engine. Hook the hose to the carburetor and you are good to go.
This works very well to eliminate fuel pump, fuel line and stale gas in a thank that's been sitting around to long. I highly recommend it. I do wish it was easier to fill. If you hold it by the handle it is hard to pour gas from the gas can. It would be nice if it had a flat bottom so you could set it on the ground to fill. ... show more

  • Works Great
I Do not understand why it has two vents. It would be better If I could close the vents to completely seal up the container. It is built well and the valve works very easily.
