  • Well Made Easy to Use Bike Repair Stand
Style: Max. 55lbs
Great quality even though there’s lots of plastic. It is nicely made and very functional. It folds up easily and I hang it on a rafter “S” hook in my barn. It is so handy when you need to adjust your derailleurs plus clean & lube your moving parts. Our bikes are not light and it holds them with no problem. Unless you’re a professional bicycle repair person this is the one for you. It is so easy to use I doubt if anyone would need instructions. LOTS of adjustments ti get that “right” position. ... show more

  • Fantastic bike stand.
Style: Max. 55lbs
For $100 it's impressive and worth it. I had been looking at a $50 bike stand and read reviews of plastic clamps breaking, or things slipping. That won't happen with this stand. The legs fold out with a collar that slides down the main tube. The clamp is a quick-release, just like axle skewers. Adjust the tightness and lock it down. The top tube extends upward and again uses a quick-release clamp. Adjustments are easy and secure. The arm at the top is a proper bike stand vise. The lever on the back engages or disengages the teeth which old the arm from rotating. The clamp is easily adjustable and also a quick-release clamp style engagement. It's a proper bike repair tool. I put my ~30+ lbs full-suspension bike on it and it held the weight just fine. I put a lighter 26" hardtail on it and then wrenched on the bike for some maintenance. The vise held fine when it was clamped on the top tube with the weight equally balanced front to rear. The vise held fine when it was clamped on the seat tube with more weight toward the front and torquing on the arm. The stand appears well-built and sturdy. The slight angle of the stand helps get the bike away from the main vertical tube. There is plenty of space to spin the pedals while the bike is on the stand. Any cleaning or adjustments you need to make which requires spinning the drivetrain shouldn't be an issue. I think the attachable tool tray may be the only "issue" with the product. If you attach it then you don't be able to fully collapse the lower support legs. The clamp will hit the tool tray before it gets completely "closed". If you remove the tool tray it does fold in half, but there is no hook or clamp or anything to keep it attached to the collapsed stand while not in use. You could buy a velcro strap for this, so it's a minor issue. Just something I could see annoying those who will not leave it permanently open and setup. They may, at some point, misplace or lose the tool tray. ... show more

  • Works well. It's portable/folds up and has quick release cam locks.
Style: Max. 55lbs
I am new to bicycling and needed a stand so I can do minor maintenance to my bike, like cleaning the bike chain. I have a bad back and cannot lift my bike or hold it up for very long. I wanted a bike repair stand that folds up so it doesn't require more room in the garage and I'm not planning on going into the bike repair business so I didn't want an expensive repair stand like the Park Tool ones - although they are very nice they are not in my budget. I also needed one that could hold a woman's bike by the seat post - the crossbar adapters used by other bike repair stands were not going to work in my situation. It was super confusing to find one that would work and not cost too much money. I picked this one and I'm very happy with it. There's a similar one from another vendor but I am pleased with my purchase and got exactly what I needed. It came assembled. It folds up like a camera tripod and has a lot of similar features to a tripod. The quick release cams are great, although I am not strong enough to really get the upright-extender clamp locked down properly I can get the others tight while getting my bike locked on. I'm 5'3" and the un-extended height is still ok for me. As I cannot lift my bike to get it into the clamp or to hold the bike up while rotating the clamp to different angles, I use 2 stepping stools which I place near the legs of the repair stand. I roll my bike wheels, front and back, onto the stepping stools and then I can get the clamp onto the seat post. Once I have the seat post clamped on and the bike is stable I can inch up the upright extender until I can work on the bike sitting on a stool. I keep the stepping stools under the wheels in case the upright clamp isn't quite locked down enough so the bike will only slip a few inches. This isn't a flaw in the design but because I am not strong enough to pull the cam completely closed. If I have someone help me close the cam then it stays put. The stand is sturdy enough to hold my hybrid bike but I'm not doing a lot of yanking or tugging on it which someone with more strength might be inclined to do. It works very well for my application and I can recommend it to others looking for an inexpensive stand that fits all the requirements for portability, size and durability for home repairs. ... show more

  • Great, useful design, but long-term durability of some plastic parts is concerning.
Style: Max. 55lbs
I got this to replace an old Park Tool PCS-9 stand. The current version of the PCS-9 costs over twice as much as this stand. This stand is at least 50% better than my old stand (even when new). This stand folds up to be pretty compact and is very light. It is working fine for my occasional use. I knocked off one star because of the plastic construction around the swivel point (to adjust and lock the bike's angle). This portion of the stand works well, but I would have liked to see it made of metal for durability. The interlocking teeth are under some torque in my application because one of my bikes can't be held by the top-tube due to the shock location. I can only grab it by the seat tube and this puts the bike off balance and a lot of twisting stress on the plastic interlocking teeth that hold the bike level. Even this limitation is better than my old Park Tool stand, which relied solely on friction to keep the bike level. I really like the folding mechanism, and the included tool/parts holder is great to have at no additional cost. ... show more
