Our Keurig had begun to do weird things with our coffee (started tasting like water, flavored with coffee, or very bitter, or BOTH!), I realized that I had not descaled our machine since I first bought it! Okay, I know, bad move. After searching around, I decided to give this product a try. Following the instructions very carefully, once I began to rinse that product through the machine... WOW! There was so much scale & muck! I can't believe we got any coffee at all through all of that junk that was washing through the system! Once all of the rinsing was done, I reset the machine and tried a fresh cup of coffee and WOW!!! It was SO GOOD. Can't believe I waited so long to descale my machine, but SO GLAD I finally did it. I will DEFINITELY BE USING this product again. Don't wait as long as I did. You'll never believe what will come out of your machine!

Super easy to use although the directions say that you have to wear gloves while handling the product and to wash your hands immediately after using but it’s not messy at all. Also, the bottle comes with multiple uses, I think there’s enough product for 4 or 5 descale cycles so it’s worth the price.

I had been descaling our Keurig with distilled vinegar, but decided to try this for the needle cleaning after our machine wouldn’t work because the needles were clogged. I honestly didn’t know that was a thing. I was impressed by the fact that the first two tanks of water actually looked like something was coming out of the coffee maker. The only problem was the needle cleaner. The little basket only has one center hole for a single needle but my machine has five needles and, to my disappointment, didn’t work as issued. I solved it by snapping the lid off the basket. The needle cleaner produced very brown water, so apparently it worked with my modification. I doubt this kit will last me a year, as our machine asks to be cleaned more often than every three months, but it worked well and was reasonably priced.

This item is vegetable based. It will not poison or harm you. I use it on my Coffee/Espresso maker and it is great and doesn't leave any kinds of weird taste. I also use it on my soft boiled egg maker every two weeks. It cleans the calcium right off. I have to see what other items in the house may calcify so I can use it on them.

I have only used this once since purchasing an espresso machine. It does not leave any trace of smell and I felt safer with it being plant-based with no harsh chemicals. We always use filtered water in our machine which I think helps avoid residual build up. This product seemed to work well for us.
