Unexpectedly good
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Installed this on my cruiser to get my kid back and forth to school. Child's weight about 45 pounds. Installation was easy, no special tools required. Product looks pretty flimsy but held up to frequent bike rides throughout spring, summer, and fall of 2019. Still using it this spring, 2020, though child is now over 50 pounds and exceeds the safety rating of the rack to which the seat is attached. Seat is essentially a flimsy seeming piece of rigid plastic with foam cushion covered by vinyl. A little sticky on hot days, recommend long pants as very uncomfortable on bare skin. Not a comfortable seat for rides longer than about 30 minutes. We did a longer, 1 hour ride, with the seat and my child was pretty unhappy towards the end. Well worth the $16 I paid. Significantly better option for us than anything else as we were still able to put the bike on a bus rack and extend our range. It's not a particularly well made product but it gets the job done. Nothing for feet to rest on, nothing for back. Basically just a cushion that you can screw to a bike rack you already own. —— Added 7/2021 My daughter finally got too heavy for us to use this device. I wasn’t strong enough to peddle her around. We really appreciated it and it was exactly what we needed. I’m sad she’s gotten too big. We loved these bike rides together.

Nice Addition to Cargo e-Bike Platform
Color: Black
I recently purchased a FatteBike Major T cargo e-Bike. It’s a great bike that came with a 23” plywood seat/platform on the back. I had expected my primary use for the bike would be running errands; groceries, hardware store and pharmacy trips among others. What I did not expect is that my wife would fall in love with riding on the back! The platform is not the most comfortable seat. The TOPCABIN Bicycle Seat was the perfect solution for adding a comfortable perch for passengers. This seat was designed to be bolted to the wire racks found on many bikes so I had to make a few modifications for it to securely attach to the back of the Major T. I did this by cutting a 3/4” piece of plywood to the same size as the platform and bolting the seat to the plywood. The addition of some light aluminum angle iron on the sides creates a track that then slides over the existing platform and is secured with one bolt and wing nut. This allows us to easily remove the seat when not needed. Some reviewers have been critical of the seats construction. I find this seat to be a good value for the price and likely to last a reasonable period of time for the investment.

Flimsy base. Cheap vinyl cover.
Color: Black
I bought this seat to use on the back of a cargo bike for my kid to sit on. It looked good enough in the photos and reviews were favorable. When I got it, though, I was disappointed. The plastic base it sits on is thin cheap plastic. It feels a lot like the lids that come on things like sour cream or butter containers. It's flexible which is nice, but I fear it'll crack and fail within a few rides. The cover is also really cheap. It's a think vinyl and easily intended if you push your finger into it. This could be a really nice seat but the materials would need to be better. But since I had it, I used it. I mounted mine on a pair of steel straps and attached those to wooden blocks. The straps support the seat but also allow a little movement which helps with comfort. I hope the straps will support it well enough to keep the plastic from cracking. If you can find another seat that you think will fit your needs, maybe buy it instead.

Looks nice
Color: Black
Looks OK but it's all plastic and the attachment bolts move in and out too easily. One bolt would not tighten up at all when bottomed out. I'm not using it as a bike seat however, putting it on an old go-kart as a head rest. For that purpose it's good enough. Doubt if it would stand up to year round outdoor weather. It is inexpensive so can be replaced frequently. On a bike it would only hold up to a small child at best.

You get what you pay for
Color: Black
Looks nice but the quality is lacking. After two rides with my 6-year-old, I checked the seat. It was loose and some of the nuts fell off. I tightened them generously and they still shook loose. Overall I don't think this will last.

super thin
Color: Black
This seat is cheap. The vinyl is super thin and there is not much padding. I took my kids around the block one time each and it is all bunched up around the sides. I will either return it or go the the fabric store and get some better padding and vinyl and recover it. Slightly better than the piece of wood that it replaced though it has potential with a recover.
