The media could not be loaded. I use this comforter as a primary comforter for my bed. However, it does have little loops on the corners and sides of the comforter so it could be used as an insert for a duvet cover. This cover is very warm and super comfortable.

I had purchased a down alternative comforter as a duvet insert thinking it was gonna be the same as a down comforter. Big mistake, during the night I was constantly kicking it off me because it got so hot, then I got cold and put it back on me, that went on through the night, on and off. Then I decided to order a real down comforter and what a huge difference it made, no more waking up and tossing my comforter off me. I'm thrilled with this comforter, it will keep me warm in the winter and cool in the summer, that's the beauty of a real down comforter.

For the price you really can’t go wrong — it’s comfortable but not too hot. It stays nice & cool but keeps you warm. It is a little loud like the material & definitely takes some fluffing up when you get it. I took it out for a day then put it on tumble dry no heat for about 20 minutes. It puffed up more over the next few days but it’s really not super big & puffy. The only thing is the feathers have already started poking out of the seams all over — I got it about a month ago

I had been blaming my lovely duvet covet for the crispy/crunchy sounds when moving this (like pulling it up over us if we need more covers). The fill in this duvet insert is crunchy. The duvet also is very heavy to maneuver. The only thing I like is the loops to keep the cover in place.

I made the mistake of buying a “down alternative“ comforter a while back not realizing that it wasn’t a down comforter, and I ended up sweating in the night time with it, but I was short on money, and I couldn’t afford one of the higher quality brands of duvet covers or duvets That are down filled anyway… So I chose this one and it’s very warm and it’s held up really well. It’s a little stiff once in a while you’ll get some feathers that poke through but it’s really good value for the money and it will keep you warm.

The first thing my husband said when he woke up this morning was how comfy the comforter was & that he didn't want to get up! Lol.. the price is great & the fluff is great. I had purchased one for 300$ at jcp & wasnt much better than this one. Worth the purchase!!

It makes a crinkly sound, the feathers poke through a lot. More importantly it’s very hot in keeps heat(I do have a linen duvet cover on it) I wake up sweating. It’s not very comfortable as far as thickness goes. Would not recommend if you want to sleep cool.
