I was pleased the taupe color was really taupe. The color square showed "taupe," but the description below the item said "cappuccino." Maybe both are considered the same color. I have a 12 pound, ugly black cargo blanket hanging behind these panels to deaden sound. I assume the addition of these panels gives additional sound absorption. I wanted the top of these curtains to cover the top of the blanket, which hangs about two inches below the rod. I used only three panels and reversed the center panel to eliminate any gaps between panels. See photo. Also, if I ever remove the cargo blanket, there are three sections of slats on the window. I would then reverse the center panel and decoratively tie all three about four feet from the floor with each curtain panel covering a slat section. I think these curtains would darken the room sufficiently without the cargo blanket behind. Nonetheless, I would rely on other reviews to address the blackout feature. ... show more

I love the material which can be used year-round. The lining is black and definitely blocks out any outside light plus you definitely cannot see inside. I got these curtains for my bathroom which has definitely provided me with secure privacy. The width and length are true to size.

Better than I expected!! Very well made and so soft to the touch. Great price for the thickness, softness and my room stays cooler during the hot days and keeps the room at a much better temperature. I ended up buying two more, bc two wasn't enough ๐Ÿ˜. These are very well made, I love the fabric, it's so soft, I โค๏ธ the color and the thickness. However, I've heard, if you wash them, the black will fad into a different color on the front. I guess, if I don't wash em, then that wouldn't happen. These were solid construction but I had to send them back due to the color. It is a VERY crisp white and if you think you have a true white color on your walls or windows, be prepared to notice a big difference once these are put up.
