This thing is a ton of fun. I got it for my kids, but honestly my husband has just as much fun playing with it. My 6 year old can use it as well, so it seems to be fairly intuitive. It was definitely faster than I was expecting too, but that just ups the fun!

This drone is fun for indoor use but the controls aren’t very good and it seems to float away even when tuned. I could not get it to hover without it wanting to go somewhere. Good for indoor use but i imagine the wind will easily overpower this.

My husband likes to fly a drone and do photography with it, so of course our children are interested to learn to fly drones as well. We needed something easy to fly and that would survive the inevitable crashes, and this drone fits the bill. It's very lightweight and easy to fly, however, kids will need some help getting it set up. There is a specific control sequence to connect the remote to the drone. There are also instructions for correcting the flight controls if the drone seems off balance. My husband was able to make necessary adjustments to the controls. The kids enjoy flying the drone and are able to control it reasonably well. There are a couple things to be aware of, such as the short battery life. We had less than ten minutes of flying time on a full battery charge. After reading positive reviews and watching some of the video I thought this would make a great gift for my pre-teen grandsons. Initially the product was nicely packaged and after charging the battery and reading the instructions it was fairly easy to get it ready to fly. That is when things went wrong. I could not get it under control once it was airborne. It kept running into walls and furniture. I did the recommended reset and trim adjustments per instructions but this did not solve the problems with controlling flight. So even though I really wanted to enjoy giving this toy as a gift, I am returning it because my grand kids will need something that works better. ... show more

This took a while to charge, about 2 + hours to full. It gave me 9 minutes of flight time with the lights flashing as well. Its very easy to use, even for a novice like me. Indoors its very steady and hovers perfectly, outdoors as with any light drone I would think, even a light breeze makes it move a little bit. It does really cool flips and has different light modes. I have not yet gotten the confidence on it to fly at night, but I would imagine that it looks really cool. The butterfly looks great and my daughter was the first one out the door using it. I noticed that the battery gets very hot when its being used, not when its charging. I let it cool down after use before i put it on the charger. I have used it daily to try to master it and Im getting much better. It comes with 4 spare propellors which thankfully I have not yet had to use. The remote control unit does require AAA batteries (not included). I hit a tree with it while turning, it wasnt a really hard or fast hit, and there was absolutely no damage to it at all. I also sort of lost control of it (I couldnt see what direction it was pointing in and went over to a neighbors yard and couldnt get it turned properly to come back to me) so I just hit the land button and it immediately did so.
