Without a DOUBT the best headphones I’ve ever had for a reseaonable price! I was looking to replace my gaming headset for something with better audio and not with the “gamer” tag. The build quality is great, metal reinforced with a comfortable soft headband for long gaming OR listening sessions. The cord is long enough to allow me to freely move around my room like my previously wireless one. Connecting was as easy as plugging into my amp (which you might need depending on your Ohms and motherboard). I would definitely recommend it for gamers looking to move on from the over priced mess that is the gaming headset market. These headphones truly exceeded my expectations. I’ve used many studio headphones before, but the DT 770 Pro 80 ohm Limited Edition stands out immediately. The sound is incredibly clear, balanced, and detailed — perfect for recording, editing, or just enjoying music with amazing quality. They are also extremely comfortable, even during long sessions.     • Simply perfect! DT 770 Pro 80ohm

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Don't let reviews deter you from getting this by saying that it's "bass heavy". These headphones ACCURATELY produce bass and it is NOT over powered as long you turn off your bass boost / equalizer. They produce heavenly warm and accurate music for a headphone costing only $160. I compared these to Sennheiser HD598 and although Sennheiser was more comfortable, I liked the sound of the DT 770 Pro's a LOT better. In my opinion they have roughly the same sound stage, but the closed back makes everything warm and helps keep unwanted sounds out like dogs barking, construction sounds, cars, etc. The GOOD: -I've literally been wearing these for over 8hrs and they're very comfortable. -They block a great deal of sound out and some music is heard outside of the cups if you have it cranked up. -My S7 will power these just fine and produces nice sound with nice clarity, but really need a pocket DAC/AMP to get them to perform like they should. -My computer that has an ESS hi-fi DAC (24bit 192khz) and amp built in makes them sound amazing (80 ohm version). I can easily pick out flaws in bad recordings, but the good recordings are simply mind blowing. -I also tried them with my Yamaha AV receiver and it produces clear accurate sound as well. I watched the 4K bluray version of Deadpool: it had nice bass during explosions, I was able to hear things I never heard before (this is a good thing), dialog was so much clearer than my tower speakers...guess it's time to upgrade those too lol. -These do produce nice bass, not like the craptastic "Beat's by Dre" or skull candy (which I own several of until I realized I had been just wasting my money this entire time). The bass is nice, full, hits like it should but not over powered. Listening to Katy Perry Dark Horse for example gives a clean rumble that hits hard, but it doesn't vibrate you're head...this is how it was recorded and meant to be. Other songs like Lindsey Sterling's dub step music (if you don't know she plays the violin and does really awesome mixes with it) the bass is simply nice, clean, and fun like she meant it to be. So the moral of the story is that the artist you're listening to has recorded the music to sound a specific way and if you want more bass then mess with the EQ, but these are solid headphones none the less! The BAD: -Umm....well...nothing worth noting really, they do have a break-in period like any high quality speaker, the quality just keeps getting better the longer I listen to them :) -If you want something you have to step up to the DT 1770 or the T1 (version 2) ... I guess that's a negative lol They've been an industry standard for something like 10+ years now for a reason! So stop reading and just buy them already! ... show more

My youngest saved up for a pair of these and loved them - until she somehow managed to get them caught between the chair and the pc, bending the plug. When I went to get her a replacement, this was all that would do (thankfully they'd come down in price a bit by then!). So, about the headphones. They are actually some of the more comfortable ones we've found out there - they've never pulled her hair while taking them off, soft ear covers, etc. She's prone to migraines, and the weight of these have never been an issue. The sound is excellent. She plays a lot of online games and the sound is clear and adapts to the wide range of volumes and tones easily. East setup, long cord, work well. ... show more
