Overall, this solar light functions as advertised, but the remote has some issues when the unit is on. Interestingly, the mounting bracket is a separate piece from the light itself, risking theft. The motion sensor angle is less than 180 degrees (closer to 150 degrees before it senses my presence). Full Review: I mounted this light 9ft from the ground and in the middle of my wall (25ft wide) in order to get an area of illumination that would cover my air conditioner and utility shed. I would need two of these lights to illuminate the entire area. I prefer to mount these lights using a double-sided gel tape in case they fail prematurely; I don’t want a lot of holes in my wall. Unfortunately, that wasn’t an option for this unit because the mounting bracket doesn’t have enough surface area to create a secure hold. I found the light on the ground (with the tape still on the wall) after the first day. So, I used one of the supplied screws to secure the bracket. This is my first solar light that has a mounting bracket that is separate from the light fixture. If you think someone will steal your light, you should mount it higher so it will be unreachable, or else the fixture can be lifted right off the bracket and hauled away before you’ll even realize it. I’m concerned about heavy winds lifting it off the bracket during hurricane season. The on/off switch is covered by a protective rubber cap, which prevents water intrusion, but also makes it difficult to determine which position the switch is in. The switch must be set to one of the three “on” positions before the remote will work (it doesn’t matter which one). I have it set to the 1st position, so it’s dark until activated by motion. It stays on for 20 seconds. It also doesn’t activate when my air conditioner fan turns on (which I’ve discovered is a plus). The remote works fine until the light is on. It’s a little more finicky if the light is on its brightest setting. I had to get about five feet from the wall to find a position that would make it work.     • Great light output
This was very easy to install. I was able to use the same hardware it comes with and attach it to a 4x4 post that is on my fence. This was used for the rear of the house. This does provide some great lighting. Plus, being that it is motion detector, it does work. It it exposed to the elements meaning that it is not protected and left in an open space. This product does hold well in the rain as it still works and all the leds are still working. I like the size as it is not very large and bulky, but rather midsize. I recommend this product as it does light up well and the timer works as it should. I know the concern of not giving much light, but rest assure this item does give great light.     • No Street Lights - No problem!
I live in a great neighborhood, but there are no street lights so it's very dark out at night. This has been a lifesaver. No need to plug it in, the solar panel works great. The lights are very bright and light up our entire driveway. 100% recommend this product.

We have three acres in a semi-rural area and we use quite a few different solar lights around our place. This one is probably the brightest one we have installed yet. We had an area where we wanted a really bright light, so it was perfect for us. You probably wouldn't want to install this one in a place where it ended up shining in someone's eyes, though. Installation was great. Having a remote (although something we did not really care about) is a nice option to have. The light charged fully and well, and the motion-detection seemed quite good, when fully charged. Will have a better idea once it is winter and there are fewer sunny days. But so far, so great.     • not bad, but could use a little tweaking!
The reason of getting this motion sensor light was because I have been having problems with someone trying to steal my air conditioner from behind my townhouse. The problem is because of where I am there are a few dead spots that my camera doesn't pick up because there isn't enough light in the back. So I figured that by getting this motion sensor light it would pick up anyone moving around the back so that my cameras would notice the change of light and would be able to see images better. In theory, it does what it says it does, motion works, sets off light, no problem. The problem was that because the sensor is in a tight place, it doesn't allow for full motion to be able to set it just right to get enough sun. I feel that if the solar sensor had a little more range it would be good. The lights aren't as bright as I would expect them to be, but it's not like they are plugged up to a power source, so i can live with that. I just want to deter the would be thief and have them think twice now that he might have been seen. The problem with the sensor is that i don't think it cast enough of a range and if you walk straight at it, sometimes it's a hit and miss, so I tried lowering the unit as I might have had it posted too far up on my house.
