Great instructions included as well and easy to build in about a half hour. It matches the description as far as dimensions and color well. There are many steps to assembling this, but all well marked out in lines/holes lineup like they are supposed to. It is not the finest quality, but it looks nice and it does the job and it was an inexpensive price so it was a big win for me.

I liked the fact that this bookshelf has a decorative molding at the top - making it a bit more like a real piece of furniture. I bought it to go with my new white bedroom furniture, and noticed that it is more on the off-white than true white. It also didn't come with any screw covers, which surprised me. The lack of screw covers takes it down a peg in my opinion and lessens the quality. It is quite sturdy, and while it was easy to put together there were a LOT of parts! I wonder if I can contact the manufacturer to get screw covers. If I can, I'll give it 5 stars. ... show more

It's cheap and easy to assemble, but you get what you pay for. I've got nothing on the shelves but old paperbacks from the 70s and 80s which don't weigh that much, but still the particle board shelves began to bend immediately. I'm keeping an eye on them to see if they get any worse (it's in a location which experiences periodic humidity), in which case I'll just replace them with some actual wood boards. Thankfully the exterior shell seems to be much more sturdy. ... show more

I ordered one of these shelves for a public school library - the shelves are perfect for tall picture books for young readers. It looked so great and it just the right size that I ordered 2 more - the dark cherry looks classy. Thrilled with the purchase and I could assemble it myself!

    • Cheap Particleboard Crap for a Premium Price

Particleboard. Don't swallow the rubbish about manufactured wood. Goes together in about an hour per bookcase. On the back "board" mounting holes, use the number 5 screw for 9-10 turns, then remove it. That will make the #4 screws for the cardboard backing go in easier - or at all. Looks okay when together, but keep it away from moisture. Lightly damp cloth to clean it. UPDATE: Had to relocate back to Virginia, and what do I find? In the heat and humidity of Mississippi, three of the four had SPROUTED BLACK MOLD. So when I got back to the Radford house, I put the whole 4 case lot out with the garbage. I'm out 800 bucks and my books are still in boxes. DON'T BUY THIS! ... show more
