  • First Safety Razor
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Black Razor
First safety razor and by far the best head shave I’ve ever had. Super simple process but take your time. Quality product with a nice weight to it. I highly recommend this product.

  • Very Good Aggressive Razor
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Black Razor
I rally liked that this is an aggressive razor, I have tough hair and I don't like going over the same area a bunch of times. Quality design, well balanced. The handle is a bit slippery at first, it took a about a week to get used to it, and also in that first week I had a couple nicks adjusting to the aggressive save. But after that first week of adjusting from my old razor it's been totally awesome. quick clean shaves, and the Bevel Blades are plain looking with no snazzy branding on them, but man they are sharp and good for several uses. I'm a lifer with Bevel!! ... show more

  • Bit of a learning curve, but I'm sold!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Silver
As an African American man, I've always been more susceptible to razor bumps and ingrown hairs due to curlier hair. Gillette was my go-to for shaving because it did better with sensitive skin and were good for shaving quickly. However, of course Gillette is more of a one-size-fits-all razor brand and doesn't account for some of the nuances some men have to deal with when shaving, I looked for a razor blade that would assist in minimizing razor bumps and ingrown hairs, and that's where Bevel comes in. Firstly, I'm very happy to support a black-owned brand that addresses some of the unique grooming issues of black men, so cheers to that! Secondly, so because I was switching from a Gillette razor to a unique safety razor, there was a bit of a learning curve in terms of shaving technique and how long the shaving process took. I definitely cut up my chin and jaw line the first few times using this razor. However, as I continued to use it more and adjusted to the various holding angles for the different parts of my face, the shave got much easier and the results are noticable (after about 8 months of use): - Shave is much closer, so my face is much smoother - Initial instances of using this razor I did get a couple of razor bumps, but now that I'm accustomed, I get none! - Shave lasts about 2 days longer than when I use a Gillette razor - Razor and blades are very finely weighted and crafted so once you understand the different angles, you can maneuver around your face with ease Lastly, while I liked the additional parts of the full Bevel system (Priming oil, shaving cream, After shave balm, etc.) I've found Tend Skin's products to work a little better for me. However, definitely worth trying the full system to see what works best for you! ... show more

  • 1st experience with a straight edge razor
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Black Razor
I’ve been a quandary with regard to buying a safety razor over the past several months. I’ve done research and got it down to two. I’ve been using electric razors for most of my life and I am a fan of them, however, I usually can not get a clean shave around my neck. I’ve used Gillette Mac 3 for years, and have even tried disposable razors for women’s legs for that purpose, but I just get tired of having to go over and over and over the same spot to get a close shave so my stubs don’t pillo my shirt collar. My final choice was Bevel safety razor. As soon as I received it, I raced to the bathroom to give it a try. To my delight I was able to shave my neck without a neck or problem on the first try, and it’s a close shave! The only thing that surprise me about a straight edge razor, you simply can’t dive in to the middle of your beard. I guess that’s from using electric razors most of my life. additionally I like to do a final cleaning with a razor after my electric shave and I never use shaving cream. So could I do it with a straight edge razor. Yes! ... show more

  • How to take a good design and make it bad . . . .
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Black Razor
Single blade razors have been around for decades and the design has been straight forward and with limited change. This razor takes a good design and makes it bad. For example, the perfectly round and SMOOTH handle is difficult to hold when your hand is wet, as mine typically is when shaving. Adding some striations to make it easier to hold would make sense. And then we have the shaving head itself with basically no markings . . . Thus, it is impossible to tell which side of the razor has been used to an extent where the blade is dull without running it over your face . . . Awful. And then to add that one is only supposed to shave with the grain . . . The resulting shave is so course that remaining stubble is visible and the shave isn’t at all close or smooth. A horrible product. ... show more

  • Works beautifully
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Silver
Glides well, easy to clean, covers the sides of the blade so you don't have to touch them. Really good design. Weight of the razor makes shaving easy

  • Good, But Not Worth the Premium
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Silver
3 stars — returned; not worth the premium price The Bevel has a gorgeous design and an excellent weight for a safety razor handle. They tried to make it easy to let gravity do most of the work (which reduces nicks and burns). For me, it's weak in three important functions. First, the handle is short. Even with small hands, it's challenging to get a secure and comfortable grip. Second, it's difficult to keep clean during a shave. With minimal gel, it should be easy to rinse in warm/hot water. Instead, it kept getting clogged because there is insufficient room at the bottom for debris. I frequently had to loosen the blade. And that brings us to the third issue: it's tricky to loosen the handle. You have to grip the handle and twist the head, which means taking care not to touch the blade. I also worried that the handle would become loose while shaving. It seems very secure, but it's hard to trust "seems" in the long run. None of these are deal-breaking issues on their own, except that they also come with a premium price. ... show more
