The adhesive holds well and was easy to apply. The resin cover on the carbon fiber button raises the surface of the button a mm or two, allowing you to feel the button by touch. This is a simple and nice-looking potential cosmetic and functional upgrade to your car's start/stop button. It's a quick and simple installation. You can test place it to see how it will look with the adhesive backing protection film still in place. You should clean the existing button with some alcohol to remove any dirt and oily fingerprints. Then it's peel and stick. Be very careful with centering and orientation, and once it is on it will stay put. Just apply light pressure for 10 - 15 seconds to set it in position. This button will obscure the backlit lettering on your existing start/stop button. So, it won't illuminate at night. But it offers the advantage of you just being able to feel for it, which you can't really do with the flush factory button. I find the feel for it at night superior to having to look down and put my finger on the button. Nice looking, good quality and reasonable value. it deserves five stars. ... show more

This start button decal is a nice little touch for my M440i. The carbon fiber look with the red accent adds a bit of sporty flair without being over the top. Once installed, it blends in well with the rest of the interior and gives the start button a more finished look. The only thing to be careful with is placement. You really want to take a moment to make sure it is centered before pressing it down. Once it is lined up correctly it sticks well and looks great.
