Wow, these are really nice. I didn’t read the description that much so I didn’t not they were darkening ones. It was okay for me since my kitchen window does give much light anyway. Since stores are closed I had to buy these and I’m glad I did. I never had kitchen curtains with such good quality. They are pretty stiff and thick, I put them in the dryer for a bit. Stiff and thick cause the quality, they are not flimsy! I usually get rid of curtains after I use them but these are so nice I’ll keep them for when I switch me kitchen up again. The curtains are very nice and good quality. I bought 2 sets for my kitchen. Each set come with 2 panels and one valance. When I close them the only light that comes through is on the side cracks and little crack line at the top. Considering the other curtains I previously hung up and the quality of those kitchen curtains were good (Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart) the kitchen goes from sunny bright to dusky dark when closed. All of the sun hits the side of those windows around 5:30-6pm and it gets really bright and when it's hot outside it just makes the kitchen warmer. We live where the summer gets regularly hot. I chose orange do to the color schematic style in the kitchen (think southwest style... Orange, green and yellow and yellow tiled back splash). The orange is more of a Thanksgiving orange, burnt orange and not parking cone orange which is what I was going for but still happy with the outcome as they match the kitchen style. I love them and for a little over $15 a pair they do an excellent job of cutting down on the light at that time of day and I open my curtains every day. ... show more

As others have said, the fabric thick and is a bit stiff, but I like that. The stiffness makes the fabric look like they should cost more than they do. They look great and I love the color. The fabric definitely blocks out light.

They are made well and the material is of good quality - not paper thin like some kitchen curtains, they are not see threw, and needed these for some privacy from street view. These are a bit long - good 5" for my application on the bottom tiers and had to get shortened - hence 4 stars vs. 5. Haven’t used it. Saw it replayed on Amazon while browsing so I bought it. The fact that it’s a black out 3 piece curtains I bought it. The feel of the fabric doesn’t feel rough and hard so I bet when I hang it up over the kitchen window sink it will flow down nicely.

I'm not sure what the point of room darkening café curtains is, since they don't cover the entire window. After washing & drying according to instructions, the backing (on the topper only) got weird & puckered like it had separated from the fabric.
