UPDATED REVIEW: I traveled to CA and the luggage held up so well! I’m truly impressed. I haven’t even notice more damage than a couple very tiny scratches. I flew on a smaller plane, so overhead space was limited, but I easily carried my small suitcase on the plane and it wasn’t too heavy to put in the overhead bin. These sets are awesome!! Worth the splurge in my opinion. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this set because my older, soft-sided luggage was on its last leg from my latest trip. I love that this Betsey Johnson luggage has more than 2 wheels so it’s nice and easy to maneuver. I haven’t traveled with them yet-I’ll be using the carry on only for my CA trip in July, but I expect the carry on will hold up just fine. The one thing I’m concerned about, which others have mentioned, is that when/if any of the bags are checked, the TSA agents are very unforgiving, and the luggage may not hold up very well. This is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. FedEx delivered the box to my front door which was so helpful because I live on the third floor of my apartment building. The luggage comes in a large Betsey Johnson box, so I imagine if you wanted to surprise someone with it, it may be difficult to hide what it is. I believe that unfortunately, there’s really no way to guarantee that you won’t receive a set with damage or defects... it’s kind of the luck of the draw. My set was perfect, but obviously there are reviews where that was definitely not the case. All in all, I might buy again , however Amazon raised the price from around $250 to nearly $275 in the last week, which seems unfair and unfortunate. I do recommend this luggage- great buy!

Surprised at what great quality these even with the beautiful design! They’re everything I wanted in luggage: easy to maneuver/agile, sturdy, very* generous capacity, great internal zipper compartment to keep (plenty of) shoes (even boots and heels) and toiletries separate from clothes and other items, sturdy handles, and quality inner lining. Zippers are also thick and slide easily (my toddler can’t get enough of them and hasnt broken any yet and I’m not worried she will cuz they’re sturdy). My mid size one was heavily filled on a recent trip (packed 10 days into it plus dresses to attend a wedding, all without the zipper expander) and took a good tumble off the curb and slid a bit into the street on a slant when I wasn’t paying attention (tho it rolled standing upright with some finesse before going down) and came out with the casing pretty much unscathed, just a little mark on the handle where it hit, so I’m pretty confident these can handle being tossed in and out of a luggage trolley pretty well and maintain the nice exterior. Also, they just make me happy to see in the room during travel— they’re bright, have hummingbird animal spirit vibes, and my little girl seems to think they’re all for her! And if they truly hold the test of time by the time she’s big enough they will be :)

Seriously such a good investment. The look, the design, quality… everything is great! The hard shell bubble heart exterior was a selling point for me but every detail beyond that was icing on the cake. I’m an “overpacker” to say the least and closing up a suitcase has always been the ultimate test of durability. It’s easy to close and easy to carry/roll around. The adorable gold/heart zippers and gold wheels are a nice touch. Not to mention each luggage comes with its own B.J. luggage tag. While the all black bubble heart set I ordered isn’t the typical bright and colorful Betsey Johnson look, the luggage tag adds the right pop of color and making finding my bags on the luggage carousel much easier!

I wanted something distinctive so I'd know it was mine when it was offloaded. Spinner wheels work great! Bags nest well inside each other. And each one comes with a luggage tag. Lightweight individually, the box of all 3 is HEAVY!!! Seems durable and well made. I've only used 2 of them once and they suffered only minor scratches. Everything inside was fine. Including the bottle of rum I wrapped in my yoga pants. All 3 pieces are expandable. Several designs available when I purchased mine. Each individual bag has a retail price tag. The savings are unbeatable! And who doesn't love Betsey Johnson??? This could very well be the last set of luggage I ever need to buy...

The quality is bad. I already had a zipper break but there’s a second zipper so ok for now. If I’m on a trip and the second zipper breaks it’ll be bad. There’s NO interior pouches or anything that zips up. I’m used to that in my suitcases. If you just want cute without a lot of functionality then these are your suitcases for sure. Would I buy them again, no but I don’t regret buying them.

Do not buy this product. I was very unhappy with how cheap the plastic and everything was when I received it. I almost returned it but was going on a trip and needed luggage. I thought surely for the price I paid it would be at the very least useable. I have used the whole set one time. The small carry-on bag 3 times. When I started packing the 3rd time one of the pulls of the zipper was already gone. While on the trip the teeth started falling out and were very hard to close. Imagine my surprise when the zipper fell apart in the middle of Miami's airport. I used it 3 times, it was never overpacked, it was never checked-in baggage, always used as a carry-on. No children in my home to be rough with it. I could have gotten a better-built suitcase at Wal-Mart that cost less. It lasted 4 months. I honestly can not express how unhappy I am with it. I gave it a one star because I had to rate it but it should be minus 10 stars
