I have the small under-seat Flamingos, and the 20” carry on. I have the 26” on order that has been delayed in shipping…bummer… I have seen comments about scratches and markings on the bags when traveling. I have purchased luggage (clear) covers for mine. Luggage still look brand new, the covers are what takes the beating, saves wear and tear in the luggage. I suggest getting luggage covers…it’s worth it.

I love this suitcase design soosoo much. Theres absolutely nothing like it on the market! BUT I’m honestly scared my suitcase is going to break after reading other reviews. I got it just yesterday and the top is so flimsy. I have a carry on that i payed less for and it’s more sturdy than this thing. It definitely is not worth the money… Like for a hardshell suitcase its not gonna do it’s job. I’m worried but I won’t be using it until july! I filled the suitcase to the brim and sat on top of it and it wasn’t as flimsy anymore. I’m just hopeful that TSA won’t throw my suitcase on the bottom. Thankfully the suitcase comes with a 5 year warranty number incase of things like this. I will be updating this post after my trip is over. VACATION UPDATE! Okay I recently went to florida and brought my betsy johnson suitcase. It worked perfectly. Didn’t break, barely had any scuffs, and the wheels didn’t break off like another review left. I had to stuff it to the brim going back after my trip to disney but it was just perfect.

I recently went to Key West with this piece and the smaller matching makeup case. I love that it was a hard case, but the airlines were really rough with it. When I came back a magic eraser took about 95% of the marks off the outside; which was nice because if it had been a soft bag, it would have been filthy. The inside has a nice stretchy elastic belt for holding your clothing in place (it did) and the other side is a nylon panel (like the lining of the suitcase) that keeps that side completely separated. I also used luggage cubes when I went on vacation because I over pack. The pros: I feel the hard case kept all my souvenirs in place on the way back. I liked the size because it was roomy enough for me to overpack both clothing and shoes and when I expanded the suitcase; I comfortably fit my souvenirs and and a friends curling iron and souvenirs (her bag was overweight.) I had no trouble picking my bag out at the luggage carousel because the outside was unique. The wheels are very maneuverable. The cons: I have only had soft case luggage. Squeezing in just one more thing isn’t an issue with a soft bag, but it is with a hard one. I’m glad I used the packing cubes. The side that completely seals off with a zipper is ok but I wish it had a little more give some how. I put my shoes and toiletries on that side, and I wear some big, clunky platforms; space was at a premium on that side. Lol. Other than that it was great I have every piece in this collection.

I've only used it for 1 trip so far but it is super lightweight and easy to roll. While standing in line to check in I caught myself just spinning it around and around next to me simply because I could. It's a great size for a longer vacation or for delivering gifts across country. Despite its size, it was very light. It probably weighs about half of my older suitcase. My previous suitcase lasted for many years so hopefully the difference in weight will not result in a difference in longevity. It came off the plane a bit dirty but otherwise no worse for the wear so that's a good sign. It seems like people have finally started to take advantage of the many options in colors these days, picking brighter colors to stand out. That makes having this patterned design continues to stand out amongst the solid colored bags on the carousel.
