  • Excellent value and quality.
This tool was able to remove a very stubborn fan clutch where the previous tool, also from Amazon failed on the very first try. See photo. The Betoll product (with the red label) withstood countless beatings while the previous tool bent wide open with little force. The Betoll hammer driver shaft is heavily reinforced where the other tool snapped on the first try at the cheap welds. I feel I now have tool that will last years. ... show more

  • Same quality as tool truck brands
Bought this over buying one off the tool tuck and man am I impressed, I've HAMMERED on these things with some badly rusted on junkyard motors before thinking "hey they were cheap to buy and cheap to replace" but they have held up well. Yeah I might have to replace them again eventually if I was a fan clutch tech but for something that isn't touched and used EVERY JOB this will get the job done for years to come and save you in the long run. ... show more

  • Fantastic - Around 5 Seconds 9 Stars
I have a 2004.5 GMC Sierra Duramax. I have a shade tree mechanic that is quite good. We bought a special 1 7/8 inch wrench from O'reilly's for almost $50 to knock the fan clutch nut loose. Autozone had nothing. I watched all sorts of videos of how to stop the water pump from turning. He tried everything he would imagine and none of the special tricks worked. I finally saw a video on this tool and ordered it. I tried to put it in my hand chisel impact gun but it was too big by a couple of thousandths. I took a fiber abrasive wheel on an angle grinder and removed all the paint from the end that goes into the gun and had a perfect fit. I put it on the fan clutch nut and pulled the trigger with nothing to hold the water pump from turning but the serpentine belt. In less than 5 seconds the very stubborn nut was free. I was totally amazed. I saw reviews showing the impact shaft damaged. To me it is well built and I cannot understand how to break it when using it as it is designed to work. I saw one review where the fork end came off. That would not be a problem for a welder with a wire feed to put it back on even stronger. I simply cannot figure out a way to break it using it as it is designed to be used. If not for the paint issue, I would happily give it 10 stars. ... show more
