The Bestop SunScreen is a retractable mesh sunshade engineered to work with the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop on 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU and 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator JT. It attaches directly to the Sunrider for Hardtop frame and requires the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop (52454 series) to function. It is not a standalone product and will not attach to other tops or accessories. Using it is simple. Flip back your Sunrider for Hardtop, then pull the SunScreen forward to deploy the shade. When you want full sun back, unhook the screen and it rolls up automatically. No tools required for daily use. Very easy installation. Some buyers say the screws are too short, they are, but they work when you apply a little pressure while screwing them in. The shade isn't as tight when pulled out as my previous shade was, but it's ok. The bar extends a little far forward in my opinion, again, it's ok. I recommend this item. ... show more

Biggest complaint is that even after being around more than a year, the bolts are too short to secure the brackets to the screen using the supplied washer AND lock washer. -1 star for this. The workaround is simple... Just use the lock washer and install according to the rest of the instructions. The overall quality is good and once you have all of the pieces adjusted it centers nicely and easily locks into place. The only caveat here is that you may need to work each hook individually and carefully. Once hooked, it is nice and tight. I replaced a bungee sunscreen with this and I am happier with this than I was with the former. This is because I left the bungee suncreen in full time and always felt like it was in my headspace. With the Bestop suncscreen, it retracts out of the way and there is more of a perception of room. I didn't find any significant increase or decrease between the two, so the main advantage for me was just the headspace. I am happy with it, but I would suggest to Bestop to get that bolt issue corrected or drop the regular washer from the kit. Bestop has too good of a brand to be sullied with bad quality control on bolt length... ... show more

    • Does the job but has its short falls.
It does the job and stays in place. I would have given it 5 stars if it were wider by an inch or two and longer by an inch or so. With some creative corner support bracket redseign, and the shade made wider and longer, the opening gaps could have been greatly reduced, and probably would have scored a 5 star by everyone. Howeever, the screws are too short by maybe 2 mm and for the price, they could have included an extra nut in the event one got lost in assembly. I did not use the tiny washers. ... show more
