I considered giving 4 stars, but let’s face it, most of these furniture kits that need assembly typically have some sort of problem or another. With as many pieces as this desk has (mostly hardware), you’d think there’d be a screw or dowel missing, or maybe a hole drilled incorrectly. I didn’t discover the only flaw with this set until the very end when I was putting the handle on the door. It turns out that the threads in one of the holes of the handle for the door was not threaded. Fortunately, tightening the other screw was more than sufficient for its purpose, so I can’t complain. The seams on the top surface are even with each other and there’s plenty of storage available. The drawers glide easily and the door is on soft close hinges. It suits my needs to a tee, and I couldn’t be happier with it, especially since it was priced very well. ... show more

A very good choice. The desk is chic, sturdy and spacious. All the parts, screws and a screwdriver( a pleasant surprise) were included. The instructions (visual images ONLY) were relatively easy to follow, though tweaking some of the images to distinguish which side of the wood should be used, would be advantageous. It takes a long time to put it together, however, the result is worth it. Unfortunately, the right side of the desk does not fit flush with the top middle section because the right rear panel under it did not fit properly in the groove. I will to get it shaved down, so this should solve the problem. Overall, I am pleased with the desk. As for the quality, only time will tell. ... show more

The desk was the perfect size for our needs. It is very time consuming to put together but it was not difficult; as long as you can follow the pictures. There is good value in this desk but I would not recommend this for someone who gets frustrated putting things together. All pieces fit nicely together and the end product was great. The most amazing, colorful sturdy desk. My son and my daughter put this thing together, and it took them about 5 hours. Anyway, it matches my daughter's beautiful bedroom sets, and her office chair.
