The instructions indicate there are two models - one with fixed metal legs (what I bought) and one with electric adjustable legs. My review strictly applies to the fixed leg model (and I have a feeling some of the negative reviews apply to the electric model). It is simple and attractive - just a large black top (some kind of veneer over composite board) and four very sturdy metal legs. Each leg is one piece that screws into the table. I did not find it particularly difficult to screw in so I am not sure why some reviewers say they need a power drill for the screws. You should know the screw heads are star heads, not the more common flathead or Phillips, so you will need a star screwdriver. Thankfully I had one in my tool bag from a previous assemby job. The screws are close to the leg itself so if you have fat fingers you may find it a tight squeeze. Otherwise assembly is straightforward - just lay the table flat on the ground and set the leg on top while you screw it in (so the table is upsidedown for assembly). Once all four legs are in flip it over and you are done. (There are leveling twists at the bottom of each leg if your surface is uneven, but I didn't need to adjust them). The instructions say you need two people, but I was able to do it by myself (and am already using the table to type this). The only tricky part if you're alone is flipping it upright once the legs are in, but by flipping it on its side (resting on the side of two legs) then grabbing it and flipping the rest I was able to easily do it. I am tall, though, so someone who is shorter or not in good shape might need help getting it upright. Some people commented about damage to the tabletop and mine does indeed have a dinged corner. I put it against the wall and colored in the light compostite material with a black sharpie marker. It's fine for my home office and doesn't bother me, but if you are in a professional setting it might be a problem. The table is so inexpensive for it's size and sturdiness that I feel ok accepting a small ding, but just know enough people report it that it seems likely yours may come that way too.

Received the desk sooner than expected, and that was great. I opened all boxes and assembled the desk. Once I turned the desk upright I notice the damage on the center of the desk top. I don't want to go through taking it apart to send back, but not totally happy with the damage. Art Valles

Edited review after Cymax helped resolve the issue. There were still chipped parts on the corners but under the table so it's not really visible. I guess that's fine and I can work with that. I'm using it as a dining table for my apartment (NYC). It's actually more spacious than I thought. The legs were a pain to screw in so use a drill. Old review: The table is nice but is damaged along the corners with dents and chipped wood and top scratched. Other reviews mentioned the same exact thing/have this problem. The table is large and heavy, but the packaging for it was not good. There is no cushioning - only piece of hard cardboard at the corners and the entire table top.

I’ve been looking for a table with these dimensions for years! IKEA used to have some but they stopped making them, plus those didn’t last. This table is sturdy! Hasn’t shown any wear yet unlike the ones from ikea.

Perfect desk (30 x 60, under $200). If youre in the market for desk (that is not standing or motorized desk) I think this is the best desk for price and size. The table I received got a few small damages (table top chipping, probably from shipping). Contacted them to let them know and they gladly offered me a full replacement. Told them if I can have a partial refund instead since I already assembled the desk and I would hate to disassemble it and it would be more trouble shipping a big table top back. They did gave me a fair partial refund to compensate for the damages. The assembly was not that easy. I was just lucky I have the right tools. Screwing the legs to the top will be a real pain if youre doing it manually with a screwdriver. Heck even with a electric screwdriver because of the hole placement is too close to the leg itself. I was lucky enough to have a extension so it made it a little easier. Other than those two complaints, which are not really big deals, the table is really nice and solid.
