I’m hoping this will be a great gift for my 5.5 year old, but by just looking at the photos, I expected it to be twice the size that it actually is- my hand can span its entire width. Received this in a timely manner…going to be a gift for my 4 year old grandson who LOVES music!!! Looks like a good quality book with a nice keyboard on the side. Very transportable! I’m sure my grandson will need a little practice but I’m confident that he will thoroughly enjoy this book….. there are number and color coordinates to the keys … the volume is PERFECT! Not annoying at all….. I feel really good about this purchase and look forward to watching my grandson play with this and see his love of music evolve!     • Batteries not easily replaceable
I bought this for my son. He was admittedly a bit young at ~2 and ripped a lot of the pages in the book, but he enjoyed the piano and particularly the preset songs. However after a few months the presets stopped playing all the way through and the piano does not work polyphonically anymore. The problem is possibly drained batteries. I would like to try to replace the batteries but the screw holding in the battery cover cannot be unscrewed using common screwdriver heads. Interestingly the instructions depict a standard-looking Phillip's screw, and not the kind of screw that came with our unit. ... show more
