    • Beware - Potential Safety Hazard
I would caution anybody considering buying this of a potential a safety hazard. If I could I would give the ladder a rating of Zero because of possible serious injury. .Covering most of the top step of the unit is a large reddish/orange sticker explaining how to use the ladder. The sticker CANNOT simply be peeled off. It is firmly glued in place. While the step has a rubber tread the sticker itself is smooth making the tread useless. This defies common sense. DO NOT leave the sticker on - you could fall and injure yourself.. I have, however, found a way to remove the sticker. Saturate it well with water (I used a spray bottle). Once the sticker is wet using a large serrated knife scrape the sticker with the blade at right angles to the direction of the tread. This will remove the sticker, however it may leave some residue and it WILL rough up the tread to some extent but it will be infinitely safer to use. Perhaps somebody has a different/better solution but this worked for me. While the ladder itself seems sturdy enough the sticker is a poor decision by the manufacturer/distributor. ... show more

    • There is no brace
There is no brace to prevent the ladder from opening up when standing on the ladder. We used this on a hardwood floor, and my 225 lb frame cause the ladder to open up as i went higher on the ladder. There is no crosspiece to prevent the bottom from opening causing a very safe condition. While it may work better on carpet where the added friction would help but it still is a poor design. ... show more

This 4-step ladder is pretty much everything I was looking for. Positives: -Folds thin (approx 2 inches, easy to store) -Lightweight (19-20 lbs) -Wide steps -Steel -Sturdy -Affordable -Anti-skid feet -High hand rail for balance Although it is sturdy, I still feel nervous. You just never know with freak accidents! Instead of buying a 3-step ladder with a tray, I thought why not get 4-steps since the top step could still act like a tray (and similar cost).     • Good ladder but...
Bought this because I have high ceiling and it was great for the first 3 uses. Today I took it out of the closet and noticed the welding that keeps the ladder sturdy came loose. So I don't think this ladder is safe to use anymore. Won't recommend this product.

It arrived damages. It's bent up. It's usable, so it's not worth the trouble of a return, but it doesn't close. Good enough for my occasional use. Watch your fingers, though. It swings closed at random and crushes fingers.

This is a great height, and it folds pretty tight so I can slide it behind my dresser nicely but it does sound a little rickety when folding it, it doesnt feel like it's going to fall apart, but kinda sounds like it. I do wish it was a little smoother/ quieter but that's not a deal breaker! The only thing that seriously bothered me SO MUCH is this horrible sticker on the top shelf, it literally took me 10 minutes scratching it off with my finger nails to get most of it off then I still needed to use goo gone and dish soap to get all the nasty out of it, I was so frustrated I considered leaving a one star review out of spite but this ladder is really not bad. ... show more
