I bought mine at a local hardware store. My main issue with this vise is how much noise it produces. This isn't a smooth sliding vise. It sounds like I'm dragging something heavy across my workbench. I'm not impressed with the build quality. I'm rating this 3 stars because it is a solid, heavy vise - but I don't think I'm getting a good value. There are other vises, readily available, which are smoother in operation and feel better made. Though I'm not entirely satisfied with the build quality I plan on keeping this and seeing how long it holds up. ... show more

I bought one of those at Home Depot. It was broken brand new in the box! Can you imagine what will happen when you use it? Do not waste your money and buy steel vice only. Junk
