    • Junk - broke in half
I have this vise mounted to my work bench, ive had it for a little over a year and it's already snapped in half. I use my vises almost exclusively to work on guns (installing barrels and sights) so it doesn't see hard use, ever. I live in Minnesota and my garage isn't heated so i wonder if the vise being in a cold environment partially caused the defect although it is made in China and probably not with a very high grade iron either. It worked well until it randomly broke, hopefully Bessy will warranty it for me. ... show more

I needed a vise and this one was also available locally at a home improvement store. The vise had on their website even more 5* reviews so I figured I go and buy it from the store rather than ordering it. Boy was I glad to looked at it first. I didn't matter from which side you looked at it, the jaws where not parallel at all. (see added picture) The top were far from even, the right and left side where not parallel and worst of all the jaws didn't close parallel. Additionally when you open the vise, the front jaw had a lot of play turning right and left, up and down and to the sides. I am very well aware that this is a less expensive vise and therefor wouldn't expect the quality of a pricy vise. But at least have it close parallel. I gave it 2 stars because you can actually clamp something so the vise does work in a limited way. ... show more

    • Nice smaller vise with good clamping power.
Excellent small heavy duty vise. Locks up solid, clamps well. I use aluminum jaw protectors to not mar my work pieces.
