  • This Bag Seems to be a Really Great Product!
Color: Black Size: Large
I haven't had it long enough to say how it will hold up but, upon first impressions, it is a darn good alternative to the more expensive options. Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. If you value your money, I would highly recommend this camera/weekender/daily commuter backpack. The materials are heavy duty-thick without the weight, even when filled. The removeable camera bag compartment is handy and despite what other reviews may have shared, it is NOT difficult to reconfigure the compartments within the compartment. I have a Canon 60D with 3 lenses and other accessories in the compartment. The extended top portion holds a lot! I do not have much in that upper area but, you can take out the divider and use the entire bag for anything! It really is fantastic. The bag comes with additional straps; one of my pictures shows that I attached them to the bottom of the bag to be used for my tripod which, is 18 inches when not in use. You can you the side pocket, I have a picture of that too but, I prefer to use that for a water bottle. My tripod has its own bag so, I am not concerned about it being underneath. I have already tested it and, it functions just fine. Those same straps can be used on the back of the bag, as the sellers pictures display if you choose the crisscross option. It also comes with a cover, which I did not include in my photos. It will not fit over the entire bag if, you have to use the upper expansion portion however, it will cover the bag when the upper part is folded down. One thing about the cover, it would be better if, it were attached to the backpack so that you don't have to think about it possibly falling off but, this is such a minor thing that it doesn't mater. The magnetic closure is wonderful. The only suggestion I would say for future upgrades is to use magnetic closures for the carry handles (this may need approval since it would be in direct competition with another brand) but, the strong Velcro may not last a long time. To close, I was a bit concerned that it was too big for me but now that I have the bag, not at all. If you don't need to carry around the entire bag, just take out the camera bag, it comes with its own strap and go! I am really pleased with this item! If you're on the fence, go ahead - get it! 12.29.2020 update: This company goes above and beyond. I requested to return the bag I have for their new design, it was too long a time period for that but they sent me their updated version anyway! I've attached pictures of the back portion which of completely accessible and works great. I plan on using this when I can travel, this is not an everyday bag. Once my gear is packed, it can weigh down the bag, as with any but, it's size, due to the upper compartment, adds to the weight. It is a very sturdy, solid bag with plenty of storage. You can modify the main section for your camera gear and although there is no longer a pull out bag, as with the original design, I really don't miss it. The side zipper offers more space, whereby I can have my dslr with battery grip attached and, my 100-400 lens attached as and no problem to pull out! Excellent! It's a great product and the company, I cannot say enough I have not been compensated for my review, other then receiving another bag. ... show more

  • Great value and stylish, but not perfect.
Color: Black Size: Large
I bought four camera backpacks and chose to keep this one. I like the side access for camera and lenses and also the top access for sweatshirts and stuff. The rolltop snaps shut with a nice magnet and allows for flexibility of storage amount. Side pocket holds water bottle or tripod. Materials are premium. The laptop storage is good. Padding on back is good. There are lots of little pockets for extra batteries and things. I used scissors to enlarge one little pocket inside because this backpack lacks “medium” size pockets. That’s one thing I miss. Another complaint I have is that they added the “bumpy” padding to the inside of the straps in an attempt to make it more comfortable, but the bumps are too hard and so they dig into your shoulders. After a little while you get used to it. No camera backpack is perfect. This one is good for casual day tripping or casual flights. It’s super stylish and premium feeling. One requirement I had was that the pack must have a strap on the part that touches your back so it can be securely placed on top of a rolling carry on luggage bag securely, and thankfully this bag has that. Also great price. I give it an A- and still best bag out of all 4 that I bought under $100. ... show more

  • Nice looking camera bag!
Color: Black Size: Large
This bag comes in two versions: 1) Rear and side camera access w/non-removable camera cube (red flaps inside) and 2) Side access only w/removeable camera cube. I purchased the first version. This bag easily holds my Sony A7r3 mirrorless with my Sigma 100-400 w/tripod collar attached and four additional lenses plus accessories. Accessing this combination from the side access panel is easy due to the shape of the side access panel. Plenty of room for the previously mentioned combination and additional lenses/camera body. Looks like a full size dslr camera body would fit as well. There is a laptop sleeve that my 13" HP X360 laptop fits loosely in. I don't have a 14 or 15" laptop to check for fit. Thick laptops may not fit. Backpack straps are adjustable and comfortable. Backpack straps attach to the rear access panel instead of the bag itself. Seems ok if you don't exceed the 15-20 pounds this back is designed to carry (it is a 23L expandable bag). One complaint is the zippers could be smoother and the side pocket barely expands enough to hold a small 500ml water bottle or tripod. I think they designed the pocket to stay flush against the bag when not used to keep the side of the bag smooth and nice looking. The red flaps and grey storage pouch inside the bag are semi-stiff plastic mesh instead of soft fabric and appear to have nylon zippers. If you don't hold the zippers on the large red flap together when zipping them together the zippers can get stuck. Maybe the zipper issues will improve over time. You can remove the camera cube dividers, open the inner section divider and use the bag in backback only configuration. There is no metal frame in the bag. The camera cube dividers provide the support for the bag. I have not had the opportunity to test the durability or water-resistance of this bag. However, the bag construction seems to be durable and water-resistance. A rain cover is included. I have only used the rolltop section for camera accessories, snacks, shirt, pants, and a small jacket as I purchased this bag for day trips. Be aware that if you fill the rolltop section the carry handles will not reach to the top of the bag. I think this may be common for rolltop bags. Another complaint is if you have the carry handles connected together you cannot unzip the rear access panel without the handles getting in the way. The rolltop section and the bottom of the bag does not have the smooth, rubberized surface the rest of the bag has. The rolltop and the bottom of the bag appear to be a thick water resistant nylon. Overall, a great, nice looking bag with a price under $100 (less used). This bag doesn't scream camera-bag and has PLENTY of camera gear space. I would recommend this camera bag especially for day trips with lighter camera loads. If you are going on multi-day trips and need to carry more gear, a larger backpack designed with more carry capacity and straps attached to the bag (not the zippered back panel) would be recommended. Bag should not be a problem for airline travel. ... show more
