This may sound strange but so far my favorite thing about the stool is that when I opened the box I could smell the real wood (and it smelled good). An unexpected perk! The wood on the one I got is slightly darker than in the picture on Amazon. Again, it’s real wood so some variety is expected and I like the color just fine. Assembly instructions are very simple. You take the legs, you screw them in til they’re tight enough. I did mine so they felt like they wouldn’t be loose but I could still unscrew them if I needed to at some point (it’s unlikely I’d need to, they aren’t very long so moving the stool around is easy). Lightweight enough to move with one hand but sturdy feeling enough that it could hold a good amount of weight. Main complaint isn’t a big one but one that is good for customers to know ahead of time: When I first screwed the legs in, the stool was wobbly. After switching two of the legs and determining which one was at a slightly lesser angle than the others and screwing it in more tightly to make up for the difference, the stool is fine. If it was manufactured more precisely, that wouldn’t have been an issue but luckily I was able to resolve it within a few minutes of troubleshooting. A few tiny dents on areas that aren’t visible, so no big deal. Overall? A good little basic, short stool/plant stand. ... show more

This is a good quality stool and it's very solid. It is quite short. While my 5yr old daughter finds it comfortable enough, my 9yr old son certainly doesn't. It's a good stool for a small child especially since it's light. He/She can carry it around to wherever they want to sit. It is nice looking and bright so it compliments a kids bedroom. My daughter likes to sit on it while doing her painting on an easel. It works great for many situations. It's also useful for small kids to stand on when they want to look out a window - if they need extra height to see through it. I wouldn't say it's well priced. I ordered this stool because I have the sensory table that matches in my son's room. The stool is very sturdy and well made. I like that it's real wood. The legs screw on very easily, and the stool sits level once assembled. The only reason I docked a star is because it is very expensive considering how small the stool is. Build quality: The stool is a good quality sturdy stool It can hold an adult. The seat appears to be MDF and is painted very well with a durable matte enamel. The part of the seat where the legs screw in is MDF and has a very sturdy well secured nut for holding the leg -- this is the only area with exposed MDF. The legs are solid (pine) and smooth and appear to be finished with a shellac or polyurethane. All in all a well made sturdy stool. All four feet are level balanced on a flat surface and doesn't wobble. low friction It is worth noting the feet are angled out and flat on the bottom (not flat at the point of contact). It slides rather easily on vinyl. I added rubber feet and to the stool and it now is less likely to slide and m floor is better protected Assembly Assembling the stool is easy to do and just requires screwing in each leg tightly. Size/ Use The stool is perfect size for a sitting stool toddler aged 2-4 or can be used as a step stool for children. Final thoughts: This is a great looking, sturdy stool I recommend! ... show more
