An inexpensive small vise but it has some quality issues. The jaw pads are flexible, but do not fit well, constantly popping off one side or the other - you'll need to carve and trim them to fit and/or install small magnets in the pads. The pads on the vise mounting areas are harder plastic and don't fit at all - you'll need to replace them with scraps pf other material (silicone, rubber, cork, leather, etc..). The iron body has several razor sharp edges from the casting process - you'll need to file them down. I was expecting inexpensive but this is just cheap - I could have spent time correcting these and a few other issues, but my time was worth more than this vise, so I returned it. ... show more

not a good craft vise. i tried to grip a 1/16" dia rod horizontally. The jaws grip on the rod at one end and the other end is a half diameter open. Plus the machining on the threads must be very rough: as the jaws are moved they catch on every revolution. forget trying to move the jaws by spinning the lever with one finger returning it ... show more

Seems very well made, works well. NOTE: before use, you must oil it so the swivel feature works. Put several drops of machine oil around the lever on the side and let it trickle in; then flip it upside down and put several drops of oil around the bolt/nut underneath and let it trickle down; put several drops of oil around the seam where the two parts come together (where it swivels) and let it trickle in. Likes: it works. It's easy to assemble and easy to use. Stable, it feels sturdy. Perfect for small crafts! . Dislikes: oh my god it stinks. It smells strongly of plastic. I put it in a box and everything in the box smells like plastic/rubber now. Also the rubber grips for the vice don't stay on perfectly. . Overall: excellent value for under $20! ... show more

Super little clamp. I used it to hold a 3/4" thick piece of steel and went to town with my grinder. Didn't budge so I'm very happy with the purchase. Bites right down to any table edge so it's real versatile. Great for the tool collection

First of all I love this vice. I use it daily for Cutting D rings when I want to attach an O ring to them. Works great and the only issue, which really isn't an issue, is that the rotation clamp can come loose once in a great while. Solution? Clamp it down again. Awesome vice.
