My old tensioner and pulley was chirping a bit so I bought this and installed it. The good news is that it takes about 10 minutes to put this thing on a Subaru. The bad thing is that it was screaming so bad when I started the car that I had to put the old one back on and throw this in the trash. I have a new one coming from the dealer. Maybe it’s just a fluke, but this thing is bad.

The bolt to release tension on this is weak and not sized correctly. There is some play with a proper 14mm wrench and I almost stripped it getting the dowel rod out. Be careful. I’ll add a star in 6 months if it works out.
