They are true genuine leather, soft and very comfortable. I wear a 5.5 and ordered 6. This is my second pair and had to pay more for them because they were not on sale like my first pair. The boots are cute. I have skinny legs so the opening is a little wide even with the narrow size, but it will do. It makes the loud sound when stepping, so everyone can hear you coming. The outside sole should be softer to prevent this. Walking on carpet is comfy enough but there is no cushioning on the inside so when I walk on a hard surface like tile my feet hurt.
