Features

  • FUSION IN-MOLDING POLYCARBONATE SHELL AND PROGRESSIVE LAYERING - A process pioneered by Bell bonds the helmet's outer shell to the EPS foam liner to create a sturdier helmet. The process of engineering a helmet liner with variable EPS foam densities to better manage the transfer of energies after some impacts.
  • FLEX SPHERICAL + MIPS - Comprehensive energy management. Flex spherical enhances our ability to address high-speed impacts, low-speed impacts, as well as rotational impacts. Think of it as comprehensive protection, with the added bonus of being able to design better helmet ventilation.
  • X-STATIC PADDING AND WRAPAROUND CHIN BAR - Quick-drying materials, woven with real silver fibers. A removable protective chin bar, designed for trail riding adaptability -- no tools required. Warning: all chin bars have limits, and serious injury or death can occur. Read the owner's manual carefully before using your helmet.
  • OVERBROW VENTILATION, GOGGLEGUIDE ADJUSTABLE VISOR SYSTEM, AND INTEGRATED BREAKAWAY CAMERA MOUNT - Overbrow Ventilation features intake ports on the brow of the helmet to usher in cool air and push it through the air-channel matrix for full-head ventilation. Adaptable visor system accommodates both goggles and glasses and works with or without the visor attached. Seamless camera mount, requiring no zip ties or tape, is engineered to break away upon impact to reduce the risk of injury.
  • SPECIFICATIONS - Small (52-56 cm), Medium (55-59 cm), and Large (58-62 cm) Sizes. Important: always take a head measurement. Head sizes and shapes can vary, even within an age range. Using a helmet that does not fit can be dangerous; 18 Vents, 4 Brow ports, and 8 Chin Bar vents.

  • I am really happy with this BELL Super Air helmet, very comfortable, great features.
Color: Matte/Gloss Grays (2023) Size: Medium (55-59 cm)
I ride All-Mountain to Enduro in the pacific northwes; some fairly fast and steep moto trails. We've been wearing basic helmets such as Fox and Giro and my wife has a POC but they are all just top shells for Trail riding. Well after my wife caught a pedal on a fairly steep rooty section and did a flying header face first into a large cut off stump, hiked out 2 miles in shock and went to the ER to have the hole in her face patched up... I decided it was time to replace my 5+ year old standard helmet. Here's what I like about this Bell Super Air: - It is very comfortable, looks and feels well designed - Light weight - easy to install chin bar - Good visibility with the chin bar installed - Great ventilation - Sweat seems to channel away from my eyeballs, and I can work up a good stream when riding - Does not feel like it is riding on my brow-line like the TLD I had for a short period and ditched -I love the adjustable visor, it is very functional and easy to use (no screws, just detents) Con's: The thumb adjuster for tightness is a bit small and hard to reach. I highly recommend this helmet. ... show more

  • Comfortable with Protection
Color: Matte/Gloss Black Camo (2023) Size: Large (58-62 cm)
I bought it for my E-scooter, after trying a Tsg pass pro that was uncomfortable after a half hour or so. After reading other reviews and seeing a few You Tube videos. I decided to give this a try. Amazon had fast shipping, and it arrived without damage. I was surprised on how light and comfortable the fit was. Glad to have purchased. Excellent Helmet Bell! Thank you ... show more

  • Its expensive but its a great helmet.
Color: Matte/Gloss Black (2023) Size: Medium (55-59 cm)
I've been ridding with this helmet for a couple months now and really like it. Its lightweight and has good ventilation. I don't notice it at all while riding which is very important to me. I am a relatively new mountain biker and I bought this helmet because I wanted a helmet that could progress with me. I like the option of being able to have the chin bar when things start to get really technical or I start to jump more but also have the option of an open face for regular trail days. Its not downhill helmet and I don't intent to use it for that as I'm not a dh rider (yet) but its a great helmet for those who want a little extra protection with out all the heft of a full dh helmet. I've only had one issue so far and that was with sizing. I already own a Bell road biking helmet in size large which fits great and has a size range of 58-62cm. Bells website list the same range for the super air r Large so that's initially what I ordered. When I tried it on I could not tighten it enough. Maybe it was a faulty tighten mechanism but I returned it for a medium and it fits much better tho its close to being to snug (not enough to bother me). I also had an issue with the seller. They removed the helmet from its original packaging and shipped it in a box the was to small. It was bulging at the sides and had no protection. It left the helmet very susceptible to damage. Luckily it appeared to be ok but I think that is extremely poor business practice as it calls in to question the authenticity and condition of the product. So while I do recommend the helmet I do not recommend the seller Gotta Ride Bikes. ... show more

  • it fits my round head- and surprisingly lightweight / airy even with the chinguard
Color: Fasthouse Matte Black/White (2023) Size: Medium (55-59 cm)
I like it!-- better fit vs Kali ---though I kind of wish it had the conehead absorber tech like Kali

  • Comfortable and looks good
Color: Fasthouse Matte Gray/Black (2023) Size: Small (52-56 cm)
Stoked on this lid. I wear it when doing gnarly down hill drop off stuff or big jumps. It’s comfortable.

  • Good visibility, light weight
Color: Matte/Gloss Black Camo (2023) Size: Large (58-62 cm)
Arrived late, the box was dinged up, but the helmet still had the tags on it. Looks like the pics. It takes a few times to easily replace the chin guard. The helmet adjusting knob is too small, feels like it was made for children. It does work to tighten the helmet down, but it puts more pressure on the back of the head than all around. I like the simple click type chinstrap vs the double ring like a motorcycle helmet (which some have) since it is easier to take on and off and this is a bike helmet, not for motocross. The Gopro mount is great, as it actually latches in. I had thought it velcro strapped in, but maybe that was an old version. Overall, a great helmet to give you extra face protection so you don't lose your teeth in a face plant. I ride ATV's and have thanked God at times that I had a good chin guard when my face has slapped to handle bars. I have often been more worried about crashing on my bicycle since asphalt is much less forgiving than dunes, since my protection has been less. I feel better now... ... show more

  • comfortable, lightweight, and looks great
Color: Fasthouse Matte Black/White (2023) Size: Large (58-62 cm)
I have purchased and returned at least 5 helmets in the last few months because they did not meet my expectations. Two of those helmets were convertible helmets like this one. They were either to uncomfortable or too heavy. This one pretty much ticks all of the boxes for me. It is lightweight, convertible, comfortable, looks great, and offers MIPS protection. The chin bar is a little clunky to take on and off but to be fair, I've havn't had this helmet for very long and perhaps it is a skill that takes repetition. I'm convinced that this helmet is the best convertible helmet you can buy. ... show more
