  • An Exceptional Quality Helmet - Why Spend More??
First, I am a casual motorcycle rider and not a competitor rider who rides fast, despite owning 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400. Previously, I invested in two expensive helmets (Arai and Shoei) because I appreciate the quality in relations to costs and value. Recently, I purchased this Bell helmet as back up and simply because I liked the color scheme of the helmet - racing strips. I paid less than $200, which was about 1/4 of the cost of my other helmets. When I received it, I was extremely surprised and happy because of quality and the fit of this helmet. This Bell helmet is of high quality because its made with fiber glass, comes in three different shell sizes, and it has quality inserts. Now, it is my favorite. What I've learned with this helmet is that the cost is not a factor in terms of quality of helmet you might like. The fit is the most important and the feeling associate with it, whether it may be the color, size, shape and of course proper fit. With the kind of riding that I do, this helmet is sufficient enough and I really don't need a professional level helmet that I now regret in purchasing. In fact, I feel better in this helmet than my others - they are all size Large. In all, This Bell helmet is of high quality and the price it is selling is ridiculously low in my opinion. It is one of my best purchases this year and I highly recommend this helmet. ... show more

  • Beautiful, very high quality for price!
I've been wearing Bell most of my life, there's simply no better helmet for the price. I crashed doing 45mph into the back of a car that pulled out in front of me, wearing an older Bell, I got up, walked away. Bike was totaled, and my body was wrecked, and bruised, but I lived, this was years ago, and the tech is even better now! The paint is incredible, it's a sexy helmet, and matches the bike I'm buying. It's and lighter than you expect it to be. the vents are very effective. It has a tinted pull down shade inside as a second visor, that is a feature I love. The only thing I'd change in the way the inner visor lift on the side feels very flimsy, a sturdier, even just slightly more, would inspire confidence that I won't break it while lifting with gloves on. It is a little tight around my ears, but I have big ears so..lol. I love it, and would love a second when I can afford one. Great job Amazon+Bell! ... show more

  • Quieter than my other bell. High quality feeling.
Size: Medium Color: Crave Matte/Gloss Black/White/Red
I've owned a few Bell helmets and they do tend toward being loud (earplugs required.) I've been told this is normally due to ventilation. More holes means more noise. That said, this is the quietest of the Bell's I've had (most recently was a Vortex Band.) With ear plugs it's good to go. One nice thing I didn't expect is the face shield mount is compatible from my Vortex Band so I was able to take my Transitions face shield and move it over :) So far I'm happy with it. Used a few times for shorter local rides. The real test will be an all day 6-8 hour day to see if my ears/head are still happy. ... show more

  • 5th Star may yet happen.
Only reason I rated 4 stars is I don't currently have a bike, getting back into riding after 24 years and wanted to get my gear in order before I buy my next bike. Helmet fits very well. I consulted two different sizing charts. One suggested a Large would be appropriate, the other included hat size as additional data and suggested that an XL would be appropriate. I went with the XL and it's perfect for my elongated noggin, doesn't crush my ears at fit front to back is firm without excess pressure. Very lightweight shell and high visibility graphics (it's good and also safer to be seen). The 5th star will be added once an actual riding test for noise is in the books. Very pleased! ... show more

  • Light and comfortable.
I've never had a full face helmet and I was really hoping that getting one would help me extend my riding season as the weather had started to cool off on Michigan. I'm not disappointed at all. My first ride with the helmet started on a mild day and it was nice to have a break from the wind. Later in the evening I was caught in rain. Anyone that rides knows that rain hurts! It wasn't much more than an inconvenience with this helmet. It did not fog up like I was worried it might. The rain blew across the face shield and didn't affect my vision like it would have if I'd only had glasses on. I measured my head and using the size chart I got a perfect fit. ... show more

  • Light, well made, great finish, comfortable
You get a fantastic helmet for the money. The finish is very well done. The interior is high quality and very comfortable. Make note of the sizes on the RS-2 though. This model's sizes run smaller than many of Bell's other models (the Qualifier series for example) and many manufacturers standard sizing for that matter. It's a non-issue as long as you're paying attention to the listed sizes for THIS model, you know your head measurement and you order accordingly. If you're already familiar with the RS-1, then you'll find the fit of the newer RS-2 to be almost identical. ... show more

  • TERRIBLE WIND NOISE and not aerodynamic at all.
Purchased this helmet to use with a sport bike. Not sure if Bell did not design this helmet for use in crouched position but it is not aerodynamic at all and you can hear it! It is a very comfortable helmet but the excessive wind noise is a deal breaker. You can purchase less expensive helmets that are just as comfortable and much quieter. Wish I would have done more research on Bell before the purchase because apparently aerodynamic design is not their strong suit. Really wanted to love this helmet and waited several months before I posted this review. Your riding style and helmet size may not produce the same results so keep that in mind when reading this. Overall, I am disappointed to say the least. ... show more

  • Great value
In the top three of all helmets I’ve owned and the cheapest of the three. First internal sunshade version and that works great. No more hassle switching face shields to match the brightness, or buying an expensive photosensitive shield. Seems reasonably aerodynamic as it doesn’t bounce my head around at speed on my naked bike. It is also fairly quiet but I wear earplugs anyway when going a long distance. I like that it is hi-viz as I normally where a dark jacket and jeans. I figure it can’t hurt. It is not like most drivers are aiming at me. ... show more
