Packaging looked rough when it first came in, but knowing it was a "like new" helmet I was expecting the packaging to look used. The helmet itself was in pristine condition with no complaints. There were no scratches or signs of wear of any kind on the helmet or the carry bag it came in. Overall a great helmet and a great product.

Great helmet. Lightweight and well vented, it is super comfortable as well, but on a guess I ordered a large instead of a medium which is my usual size for Bell. It fits like a medium, nice and snug. The cheek padding is removable and thicker than other helmets I've had, but this is a very comfortable helmet. Looks awesome with the dark gold iridium visor.

The neck rolls never seem to want to go back in the helmet all the way.. With that said, I never had and issue with it coming off or whatever. But this is a fantastic helmet. Super comfortable and amazing

The helmet is good quality. I am sized right in between a SM and a MED. Buying the MED had me worried that it would be loose fitting. It fits snug and perfectly. I am happy with the peripheral visibility it provides.

I feel bad rating this at four stars, knowing that it'd probably get five if it weren't for the price point. At $712 or so for the Ace Cafe versus the $560 for the matte black variant, it kinda hits you realizing you paid an extra $152 for what amounts to some pin striping and stencils, clear coat variations, and check mark paint patterns - but hell, it looks good. It looks REALLY good. I'll be honest and say I bought it almost entirely for how it does look, as I don't do nearly enough track time to warrant a "race" helmet. But, setting aside the $152 hit for the Ace Cafe style, you're still looking at $560 for a helmet with some flaws that just shouldn't be in a helmet at this pricepoint. Ignoring that you could set the shield on top of the lock to crack it slightly, there's only the two positions for the face shield (which is also reasonably easy to scratch), which means you're constantly opening and closing it to hear or wipe down condensation on cold days. The shield has pretty decent anti-fog, no doubt, but with the chin curtain in place you're still steaming up your vision, just in a different way. Ever look out a window in the middle of a rainstorm, with the water dripping down the glass? It ends up like that, though notably in a way that doesn't completely screw you like fog does. Bell still hasn't released a transitions shield for this model, too, meaning you better pack a spare or suffer the alternative. Fit is mostly okay: I knew that I was on the upper edge of the size range for the medium I purchased, and so I expected the snug fit that I got. What I didn't expect was there to be several hotspots that formed not as a result of the EPS/A/O, but as a result of the cheek pads. The cheek pads are nice, in that they snap in to the helmet with magnets. They're TERRIBLE in that they have a hard plastic backer with a rolled fabric edge stitched into it, that not only traps heat, but results in a very dense edge that protrudes from the cheek pads at full or near-full crush states which creates a long pressure point all along its edge. Plus, Bell used large blobs of hot glue to secure the foam to the plastic backer, resulting in yet another point. It would have cost Bell little to nothing to scrap the plastic liner and just stitch the magnet cradles to a shaped foam and fabric pad, which would have eliminated the entire issue. New cheekpads are $35, and the smallest 25mm isn't back in production until June 2018. If you're decent with a dremel, you can cut the backing plastic, pull out the foam, and cut it down to size if you really want or need to. Speaking of, the cheekpads appear to just be a really airy foam, with the same sort of fabric liner as the rest of the helmet. Can't say how cool or warm you'll really get, as the warmest I've worn it in is ~50 fahrenheit. Anyways, enough about the cheekpads. You're paying for a race helmet, and it's stupid good at that. Most helmets have >210 degree horizontal FOV, but the Bell has a huge vertical field too and I've never once had to shuffle my head around to see. It's not heavy either, and the spoiler, vent, and general geometry do a great job at eliminating windstrain (granted, I've not gone drag race speeds). Compared to my old helmet (a Bell Revolver Evo), in which I could feel every minor fluctuation in headwind, this lid cuts right through it all to let you focus on the road. The chin vent has a noticeable effect and is well insulated, or otherwise secured. Noise levels are acceptable - you could probably easily listen to music with a pair of earbuds at low-med volume and still hear traffic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The downside is that you'll be hard pressed to fit off-the-shelf communications into the helmet, given the lack of space. In the same vein, it can be difficult to put on and fit right, given just how much padding there is, and made more difficult by the chin curtain's inflexibility. I would have liked to see the curtain be elasticized to stretch around your head as you put the helmet on, rather than the fabric they used which isn't unyielding but is also not stretchable. Overall, a really nice helmet, and I don't regret buying it. For the price, though, I'd love to have seen Bell take the initiative and fix some of the smaller, inexpensive issues with it.
