  • Awesome helmet
This is my second helmet. The first helmet I bought was a Scorpion, a decent helmet, but I was sized wrong, as both myself and the sales person didn't know much about proper sizing procedures. I got a 2XL in that and discovered much later that was too big. After research and sizing the right way, I ordered the DLX Qualifier in XL. At first it seemed like a tight fit, but it was tight in all the right places, and over time it has conformed to my head and face, and no longer squeezes my jaw. I like that it's set up for the Sena communicator, but I haven't tried it out yet. The color scheme is awesome, I get comments on it all the time. It seems a little bit louder than the Scorpion I have, but I wear the plugphones ear plugs to listen to music and cut down on engine and wind noise, so it's not too bad. I think my favorite part is the transition face shield. It tints to a dark smoke in the sun, and at night it's clear, no more toting around an extra clear shield! It transitions fairly quickly too, so going into a tunnel it lightens up enough to see. It doesn't get dark enough to not wear sunglasses underneath though. I also didn't like how they covered up the pin up devil may care graphic with the DOT sticker. I ended up heating it up a little and peeling it off. See the picture for that. Overall, great helmet. ... show more

  • Incredible quality and comfort.
Size: X-Large Color: Gloss Black
I’ve been riding for over 30 years, this means I’ve had all kinds of helmets. I’ve owned helmets that were close to a grand, and some that were less than a hundred. This helmet is superb quality, exceptional comfort right out of the box (required no break in time for me), and packed full of features. There’s a laundry list of pros here: the auto tint visor (takes a few seconds, and gets as dark as any normal tinted visor - not quite dark enough for me to ditch my shades though), the comfort is extra plush, internals are super easy to remove and install my Cardo comm system, safety features built into the shell, it’s fairly quiet, with reasonable air flow, overall the helmet is packed full for this price. I’ve seen this model at my local dealership for just under $500… so I’m living proof that it pays to shop around. Cons: no quick detach on the strap, visor doesn’t get dark enough to ditch my shades… other than these two nit-picky items I’m in love with this helmet… seriously. Only other note I have is to try to find one local to try on before you buy. I’m glad I did, I know I would’ve bought my typical size but after trying one on I bought a size larger. This helmet gets 5 stars from me. ... show more

  • Great helmet!
Size: Large Color: Matte Black
The visor is top notch. Comfort is good for intermediate oval. I am a round oval and there's a bit of pressure on the edges but really good and tight. The wind noise is pretty bad if you turn your head on the left, but nothing some sealing of the back vents can fix. Was in a crash with it and protected my head flawlessly and the helmet held together amazingly! ... show more

  • The truth!
Size: Medium Color: Matte Black
I bought this for the Mips and the transition shield. I really feel much safer just knowing the Mips technology is in the helmet. I also LOVE the transition shield. Here are my thoughts a month later: Mips - I really do feel safer with the Mips technology. I hope I never need it but it is reassuring just knowing it's there Transition Shield - Best shield I've ever had or seen. I have really sensitive eyes and in the past have either worn sunglasses inside a clear shield or purchased smoke shields to block out the sun. Sunglasses can get uncomfortable and just add another layer to look through. Smoke shields work well until you get caught in the rain or out a little later than usual and can't see well out of them. This shield is clear when the sun isn't really bad and tinted when it is bright out. I wasn't sure if it would be dark enough, did I mention I have sensitive eyes? It works like a charm. When you're wearing it it seems like it's not working but I never squint and I see very clearly regardless of light condition. Thumbs up. Noise - I almost deducted a star because everyone is correct, it can be a little noisy at higher speeds. I even purchased the bluetooth intercom system made for the helmet thinking it would block some of the noise but it doesn't. The noise definitely comes from that area, as others have stated. However, I had an Arai helmet previously and it had lots of air circulation in it and was just as noisy. The noise is not overwhelming, no need for earplugs or anything else. It's just wind noise and I realize it's keeping me cooled. It's like any other helmet that offers good circulation if that helps. It is a good balance of both noise and breath-ability so I left the last star on. Size - Buy a size up for sure. I was really worried about buying the wrong size. I read all the comments and there were enough people saying buy a size up so I did. Really glad I did. Weight - After a prior neck surgery this was a big concern for me. I was looking at all the weights before buying. I knew ahead of time it wasn't as light as my Arai but that was an $800 helmet. I researched this quite a bit and in this price range it was one of the lightest I could find that still offered a great deal of safety and circulation. I will note that I purchased an HJC for riders and the HJC is a little lighter for what it's worth. However, it doesn't feel heavy and I don't even notice the weight when riding. Visibility - Nice big viewing area and as noted, crystal clear. It also has not fogged up yet even when riding when hot and muggy out. A+ ... show more

  • So loud
Size: Medium Color: Gloss Black
The helmet is comfortable, looks great, has a killer visor but if you plan on using your Sena at speeds over 30 good luck with the wind noise… UPDATE. The helmet was supposed to have a chin air damn but this one didn’t. Might help with noise but I doubt enough
