This is the second cord that I bought so I could have one upstairs and one downstairs. In between I’ve bought other cords that are now in the trash. We bought this Belkin for use on a nightstand, which is some distance away from the wall outlet for the charging cube. It was supposed to replace a cloth-covered cord that was very flexible. The problem with the old cord is that the connector into the phone broke off! This Belkin is covered in a harder vinyl. Not only does it want to hang onto the coiled shape from the packaging, but once you lay it out, it is so stiff as to move the phone where you've placed it. The old cord, despite the connector breaking, was softer and more flexible so that the phone stayed put. I am hoping that the connector will never be a problem with the Belkin, and that perhaps the cord itself will soften up after a while. I kind of doubt it. And for now, it feels like I am using an extension cord for the vacuum cleaner. ... show more
