  • Excellent scope but wont work well on an inferior weapon.
Color: 3-9x40EG
I have had this scope for a couple weeks now. The rings that came with it were for an 11 mm dovetail attachment. I wanted to get it installed so I bought picatinny rings to get it mounted. I decided to use my GSG522 this time. I finally had to use a 3/4" riser because I couldn't clear the iron sites without it. I got out my Beilishi bore sighter and set it up inside my house then waited until dusk and went outside where I could fine tune it against a building that was a little over 100 yards away. I took it to the range the next day and at 100 yards I could hit the target but was very inconsistent. I brought it back home and tried to fine tune it some more. Back to the range and started at the 25 yard range. I was hitting pretty well but still not as tight as it should have been and when I moved to the 50 yard range it was even further off. Now this scope is very well made and should not be causing these problems. I finally decided to try a different rifle and installed the scope on my Savage model 64. Turns out that the rings that came with the scope were perfect for the Savage. I set it up bore sighted it and took it to the range today. Note that my Savage was very accurate with the little Tasco scope that came with it. I had a good pattern on the 25 yard range. Then moved to the 50 yard range and was fair but not what I expected. I had been using cheap bulk ammo and there was also a fair amount of left to right crosswind today. I was about ready to give up and try another day. Finally my pea brain decided to try some premium ammo and I was pretty much centered vertically but a couple inches to right. I knew my windage was good from the other range so I tried aiming about two inches left and maintaining my elevation. I was in the center and fired an additional 15 rounds all in about a 1 1/2" group. I had been worried that there was an issue with the scope. Which would be a disappointment because as I said it is a premium scope for a very good price. It has clarity throughout the magnification range. I was able to see very well even out to the 200 yard targets. As it turns out the scope was not at fault. My GSG522 although a very nice little 22 is not able to hold a tight group and the cheap bulk ammo didn't help either. Once I changed to a higher quality ammo and rifle that is VERY accurate. The scope started to shine. At this point, I would recommend this scope to anyone. The price is right and the accuracy is there. In this case I had to spend some extra time and ammo to trouble shoot the problems I was having. Hopefully this review will save you some time when you install your new scope. At some point I plan to go out and shoot at the 100 and 200 range. Now that I know my zero is right I should only have to fight the wind. I'm sure the high velocity rounds that I have ordered should really make it work. ... show more

  • Nice scope for a air gun
Color: 3-9x40EG
This isn’t a bad scope at all I mean it’s a cheap scope I don’t think I’d put it on anything over a 22. 17.something like that but probably just a beater 22 or something for a kid starting with it really isn’t bad but just don’t think your getting a schmit and bender for 40 bucks

  • Ok for the cost
Color: 3-9x40EG
Decent optics, I like the green/red optics and lens covers but scope isdefinitely not anti fog. Accurate but build quality wise, mine has something stuck to the side of the tube on the inside between the lenses, doesn't effect the use but ?? Also the plastic adjustment caps seem cheap. Scope mounts are included ( cool but they don't fit air rifles). All in all, ok for the cost. ... show more
