  • No pre programmed tones.

This is a great piece of gear. Not 100% clone on the Moog Model D, but it will get you so close, and for $250.00. It can not be beat. Pure analog magic.

  • Best bang for buck ever in analog synthesizers.
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
The Behringer Model D is a very fine synth with fine build quality and truly proper sound. It has one very annoying flaw: if a note begins exactly when the previous one ends, the filter envelope doesn't trigger even though it should, just like with every other synth (the notes don't overlap). This problem is unique to this synth, it doesn't happen with any other analog synth I've ever used, and I've used quite enough synths, including modular setups with CV to MIDI modules. The only way to avoid this problem in the "Boog" is to disable "legato", but then you can't have this behavior when you actually need it (by extending the previous note so that it overlaps with the beginning of the next note). Despite this very annoying problem, I'm still giving it 5 stars, because the value for the money is off the charts, you get truly proper, high quality voltage controlled oscillators and ladder filter. ... show more

  • Don't hesitate get one asap
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
Bass, leads you got it. I was going to hold out for the poly d since they've been all in Japan or wherever but I decided listen. I need it a mini mini and a bit of bullet and got the model d. No regrets whatsoever. Sounds exactly like the original. I've had an original 20 years ago and muscle memory. Yeah there's a few changes on here but for the most part you can just grab it and go. I love it! Best decision. I made best purchase I made this year ... show more

  • Lots of fun. Growing fan base to help.
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
This isn't an easy synth to learn if you're new to hardware synths. But it has a very big fan base who actively create and share patches with the community. To me, that's the best thing about this synth. Itself, it sounds solid. I like to slightly detune 2 of the 3 oscillators for a more melancholy feel to some tracks, and this gets it done perfectly. Other times, I'll turn 1 or 2 oscillators off and just make some simple plucks or stabs with one. Excellent synth. At this price range, it's a no brainer for anyone who plays with synths. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
Everything on here is well built. Powerful tone and the 3 oscillators all fit well together. One issue I have is getting to the limit of the main oscillator tuning range and either being just right for A440 or still a few cents flat. I believe there are some additional tuning adjustments that can be made by opening the box, but it is a little disappointing that the main tuner can't quite always get the job done. ... show more

  • It's easy to use.
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
I'm new to analog synths, so this device is a good intro. It's not too complicated. Easy for a beginner to start dabbling around with. It's fun and makes some pretty amazing sounds.

  • … it’s a minimoog for 300 bucks 🤯
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
A minimoog for 300 bucks… like it sounds and functions EXACTLY the same as the original. Every musician should own a minimoog.

  • Love this thing
Pattern Name: Analog Synthesizer Style: Modern
I've never played a real minimoog myself but from what I understand and have witnessed through comparison videos this comes exceptionally close to replicating that sound. You'd be hard pressed to tell them apart in a blind test unless you're some kind of savant, and in a mix? Forget about it. That aside, it's a lot of fun, and an analog monosynth capable of such fat leads and basses at this price is hard to pass up. If I were less poor I'd have multiple (or the poly d!) Would be great I think for people newly interested in synthesis and veterans alike. ... show more
