As someone who picked up a nail polish for the first time, I have to say it is easier than I imagined to work with. The gel can be wiped off with ease, pushed around before each curing cycle. This set contains pretty much all you need except brush / dotting tools for nail art, if you are also a beginner like me read on. Some notes and tips, do a THIN layer of base coat (I made her thumb look very bulky). Also I got the translucent pink set from Beetles and some nail brush / dotting tools (you NEED those for doing flowers and art, buy from any seller is fine). I found that I mostly used the 7mm brush so that’s the one I recommend to include when purchasing brushes ... show more

This set is a nice starter kit. The liner brushes are terrible though. The bristles are not refined enough, even after saturating them with polish. The other brushes and dotting tools are fine for the most part.

The light works in that the gel is cured in the recommended time, however the polish and perhaps the base coat are not high quality. I put on a full gel manicure on a Thursday night and by Saturday morning one finger already had lifting and the entire polish came clear off, base coat and all. I do my own nails often and have gotten many gel manicures over the years so I am aware of how to fully prep natural nails before application. I fixed the one nail which came off same day, and by Sunday night that same nail and another one also came clean off. So I guess the plus is you don't need to soak off because it lifted right off with no extra effort to remove. I am going to buy another quality brand base/top coat and see if that works with this light, and if not, I will be returning. Also to note, the base and top coats did have a weird odor to them, not normal polish smell. The colors that come with this set are pretty so I'm disappointed that I've already had to fix the manicure twice. ... show more
