I’ve tried so many different nail kits, and this is the one! Cleaned my nails, buffed them, applied the gel to the nail put it under the UV light. The clippers are great, and the nail file is good. Not flimsy, or too rough. I am on week two, and only had one nail popped off, but it did have bubbling underneath. These feel just like the acrylics I used to get in a salon. A few tips that might help. •If your nail beds flood with the Gel, put it under the lamp until it feels semi-secure. Then take a Q-tip and use it to clean up excess gel on nail beds. •Seal The tip of your nails with topcoat to ensure your polish won’t chip. • The Gel cures better without polish on the nail. Painting them once they’re on I found to be better. I reapplied one that had popped off and don’t feel like it says secure as the others • If you use foil and acetone removal, the nail will melt, but the UV gel will need another foil and acetone. A little scraping with an orange stick and rubbing with a pad in acetone removed them with no damage.

I've been doing my own nails for a while now and I love trying new things. I kept seeing people using clear full-coverage tips and this cute little single-nail light and decided I had to try it. I love the multi-function nail glue. It's very solid to hold the tips on (assuming you get them placed correctly), and I played a tiny bit with using it as a blending medium. I really like the shape of the nail tips although I still end up cutting most of them off. The cutter tool is fantastic! That's made it so much nicer and easier to get the nail shape I want, especially over filing or using nail clippers. The only thing that I don't love is that the different size tips come in little bags rather than a container that keeps them in order. But that's a very minor complaint! The little light seems to have a good sensor so far. Overall I'm very pleased with this kit.

I just want to clarify that I have bought many nails and none of them ever fit me or my “clients” as perfect as these do! They out beat the expensive nails that people claimed were so amazing but was not. They actually have more sizes for a better fit. They were super easy to work with and blend into the cuticle area for flawless results. These nails are amazing quality and at such a good price! The quality is exactly what I was looking for and these nails, after finished results, look and feel exactly like acrylic nails you get from the salon! I will keep buying these over any other brand!

This is my first time trying Gel-x tips on my own as I’m starting to do my nails at home and this is a pretty decent starter kit! I liked that it came with a flash cure light (which did work, but it has to be plugged in somewhere and it did not come with a box for the cord) and I liked the length of the coffin shape (which I love me some long nails) Gel-x is also one of those things that you have to practice and play around with to get the right technique. I watched lots of tutorials online about how to apply at a 45° angle and make them last longer, which is why I edged the inside of the nail beds with a separate drillbit and actually bought a separate nail dehydrator and primer bottle to make my nails last longer. I also recommend having a separate bigger UV light to help cure everything after the nails are on. I would have to say that my only cons are the nail sizes. The width of the nail beds are huge for my little fingers, so I used a lot of the smaller sizes and also the Apex of the nail was way more curved compared to my flatter nails. But the kit does come with 14 different nails sizes! Overall I had fun using this kit and it did work well and I felt like it was good value for all the tools and tips that I got. But if you are trying to do your nails at home on a budget and you still want to them to look salon quality, I would also invest in a larger high-powered UV light, nail primer, nail dehydrator, and a drillbit. I’ve had these nails on for a day now, and I think they look good, but I’ll try to come back and update to say how long the nails last!

I love these tips! My best friend recommended them to me and I absolutely LOVE them! The gel is easy to apply and the nail lamp is easy to use. Especially since I am a beginner, I had no issues. Once you practice with them more you get the hang of it and they last long! 10/10 in my book!

The media could not be loaded. The light works great and isn't one that you charge so you don't have to wait until it is completely charged before using. The nails in this kit on the other hand are not good for doing nails at all. They are soft and crack easily at the cuticle area. The etched area is not a good size either which will cause them to lift and come off early. The beatles nails in the trays are really good but these are not good for doing nails. Practicing skills yes but I do not recommend these for doing nails unless you want to change them often or deal with them splitting while gluing. I will be keeping because the light alone cost what this kit cost. I will use the tips to make show tips.

This little set is perfect. The nail tips are really nice, not super thick like some that I've tried and they don't require alot of extra filing. They hold up well. The glue is really good and strong as well, I've had it last a couple weeks when I've used it. I usually end up removing them myself instead of just waiting for them to pop off. Very good quality and easy to use.
