I’ve found that sometimes pillows take a bit to get an accurate feel for them. I’ve had these about a week. So far so good though. They plumped up nicely right out of the bag. So far, they are fluffy and soft but provide enough support. They also bounce back from laying my head on them. No flat pillow.. so far. I will mention for those sensitive to smells, there was a slight chemical odor when these were first opened. It went away quickly and didn’t bother me at all but I know some have issues with such things. ... show more

    • These are packed with material, and very fluffy.

This pillow set came individually vacuum packed in bags, inside a bigger bag. The outer case is 50% cotton, and the rest of the case and the filler material is polyester. Once released, the pillows poofed up to close to their final state in a few seconds. There was a very faint chemical smell that went away the same evening. I let the pillows air for a day (as recommended) before stuffing them into some clean pillow cases. These pillows are so fluffy, that it was difficult to get them into the pillow cases. You may need to knead these pillows down to what you need, as they are pretty thick - That is good, as all pillows flatten over time. There were no smells that first night, and none since. The poly fiber used as the filler must be really finely spun (I don't know) because they seem to keep their fluffiness - at least after 2 weeks. The 50% cotton cover seems to help well with the pillow not being hot. When I sweat at night, it is not because of the pillow - I'm just getting old and need to kick my thermostat down. These pillows are much cooler than my memory foam pillows, and are about on par with my down pillows. The difference between the down and polyester, is that the polyester is easier to wash, and keep its shape, not to mention drying. That doesn't work that well with down, unless you have a big honking washer and dryer. These pillows are more than adequate to snuggle up with and use one to separate your legs as you sleep. The stitching and materials seem durable. So far I have been very happy with these pillows. I have avoided polyester pillows for several years, but the all natural pillows and memory foam get expensive quickly, and you can't even wash the (hot) memory foam. The price point for these seems appropriate, and I really believe that they will last much longer than cheaper pillows. Good dreams! ... show more

These pillows are nice and soft with plenty of fluff. They are compressed in vacuum sealed bags for shipping so it takes a few hours for them to fully fluff up. They hold their fluffiness nicely and do not flatten out while you are sleeping. I'm using one as a head pillow and the other as a knee pillow to keep my back aligned properly while sleeping on my side. I have had very restful nights of sleep and awake fully rested with no back pain. I'm very happy with this pillow set and definitely recommend. ... show more

So I have had a combination of pillows over the years and recently started exploring options at replacing them. Most of my pillows are old down pillows that need to be replaced and I have started looking at a couple different options. This set looked promising since their were two to a set, and I wanted to try them out since they are hypoallergenic. Now I just bought two pillows to match my mattress from Avocado and those pillows are heavy and thick memory foam chunks. I wanted something softer and more plush to lay back on. I like having options of different pillows depending on how my day was. First, these pillows came shrink wrapped in a small box but individually shrink-wrapped and compressed. Directions on the box said not to open it with a sharp object. Upon opening them the directions state to leave them open and out to air out for about 24 hours to decompress, but at the end of the night, I stuffed them in pillow cases and went to sleep. The good thing about these pillows is that I don't have to put them in a hypoallergenic slip cover before putting the pillow case on them. They are also super plush and fluffy while allowing your head and neck to sink down into them. Very recently as I have tried a few different types of pillows to decide which ones I want to keep on my bed and which ones go in the guest bedroom, I find myself sleeping surrounded by different pillows. These however I find underneath my head more often then more expensive memory foam pillows, or other more expensive natural down pillows. I think they hit the mark with the at the right level of plush and soft. ... show more

These come shrink wrapped to save on the box size which I appreciate. They didn't have any odor. It takes them a while to retain their full fluffy size. They are slightly smaller than standard at 18" x 24". They are almost 6" thick which helps take up some of the slack in the pillowcase. They don't stay 6" thick. They are pretty squishy, but they do bounce back when you get up. They remind me of a feather pillow. The cover is double-stitched all the way around. I'm not convinced the navy blue ribbon adds anything to the pillow, and it shows through a light colored pillow case so that side will go down. Maybe it helps it spring back, but it could have been white. All in all, they are soft, which I like, but my husband prefers firm. And they came well-packet without any odd odors and seem to be well made. They shipped very quickly too. ... show more

Arriving in a box much too small for two queen-size pillow, we discovered two very compressed pillows inside. Once opened and allowed to poof, they recovered to become full-size queen pillows. The pillows came nicely packed. When I removed them from their plastic I left them on a sunny deck for the afternoon - as they inevitably have a little smell that soon goes away. They pillows are really comfortable and really molds to your head - not too firm and not too soft. Nice soft cover.
