I wasn’t sure at first when putting this duvet on the alternative down comforter it didn’t give the same look as on the picture but after putting it on and actually looking at it and feeling it It’s pretty. Lightweight it ties on the inside but still shifts around so I gave it a four star!

So we tried several duvet covers from Amazon and the first two did not work out. The colors did not match what was shown online so we tried this one. Liked the color and the fact it is reversible. We have washed it a few times and it has held up well. Like the zipper enclosure versus the buttons because it just gives it a clean look. Also like the ties inside to hold the duvet in place. There are 8 ties but our duvets only have 4 loops but it works to make it easy to get the cover on and keep the duvet in place. We bought two and happy with the purchase. ... show more

I am happy with this duvet cover overall. It is absolutely beautiful - I love the pattern and the fact that it's reversible. The pillow cases that comes with the cover match perfectly with each other, and all items are very soft. It's made my room so much more elegant. However, after having used it for a few months, I have to say that it's a pretty thick cover and not too breathable overall. When I'm sleeping alone and the room is somewhat cool, it's okay - if a little stuffy. However, if my boyfriend stays over, the duvet cover is far too hot for both of us to sleep comfortably. It might be the duvet insert (not the cover) that's causing this, but I definitely think the cover is a large factor because it doesn't wrap around the insert perfectly (as duvets are wont to do) so we always have lots of extra empty fabric just laying around and smothering us. In the winter, though, this will probably be fine. My largest complaint, however, is that I've put the cover in the washer/dryer only about three to four times so far, and it's already damaged. Threads are coming loose and pulling through sections of the duvet cover, creating awful lines and little thread loops that stick out of the cover. I purchased this duvet cover - which was expensive for my budget - in the hopes that it would last for a long time, but I am now disappointed that it's doing the exact same thing my cheap Walmart cover was doing after a second wash. Not happy with the state of my duvet cover at the moment, because I'm sure the threads coming loose in this one section is only the beginning. Would not have purchased if I knew it was going to be damaged so fast. ... show more
