    • Great looking although lacking in comfort.
I like the style of this boot, but I’m disappointed about the fit and quality of the foot bed. The insole is a flimsy piece of foam with some leather glued onto it. Luckily it’s removable and I was able to put in an older pair of Superfeet inserts I had laying around. The toe box is too tight unless I wear thin socks while at the same time my heel slipped up and down while walking before the Superfeet inserts. It seems like the design of the boot causes me to clomp around when walking even after replacing the foot bed. After paying shy of $300 for a pair of short boots I’m disappointed that the functional design quality is lacking. The designer doesn’t seem to understand the basics for functional design in a shoe, but they definitely have the style figured out. They are pretty cool looking, but I would not have paid the price if I would have tried them in the store. 10/27/19 - p.s. Since changing the insole and breaking them in, these boots have become more comfortable. They are definitely a favorite daily wearer. ... show more

    • Get a half size bigger!

I love these boots! However they do fit a bit snug. I recommend going a half size up. I bought them and packed them as the only pair of shoes for my weekend I spent away. Although stylish I wish I hadn’t. My feet were hurting after day 1. Once I break them in, these will be my favorite boots ever.

The Black Lux finish is not too aggressive with the distressing so they’re perfect for my taste. The elastic inserts are brown and I assumed it was black but looks good anyway. Leather is soft around the ankle, easy on & off. My feet are med. width and have flattened out over the years and this boot is plenty wide. I normally buy size 8 in my shoes and 8.5 in boots. I chose a 9 and they’re great right out of the box! My 3rd pair of BedStu boots and they all vary in size so measure the length of your foot! BedStu boots are 10.75 inches outside length so you can compare to size chart. These are size 9/39 and fit perfectly! ... show more

I normally wear a size 9M but got a size 9.5 based on the reviews. My toes hit the edge but are comfortable, they for sure would have been cramped in a 9. The boots are absolutely beautiful!! I researched a lot of Chelsea boots and finally went with these and am glad I did. Money well spent!

This well-constructed boot fits as expected. Some break in is necessary because it is a leather boot. I love the unique look as well as the firm support.

    • Size up 1/2 size
I bought a 10 and a 9.5 would have been about right, my usually size is a 9. I'm a wider width but the medium might have been okay, I had to return them due to a size 10 would have been too large, there is no zipper, there is elastic on both sides. Beautiful boot!

The boots are beautiful right out of the box. I got them a 1/2 size larger than I wear and maybe should have gone a full size. After a couple days of breaking in, one fits perfectly and one is still tight. I expect it will loosen up. They look great and are very well made.
