I just purchased a new car my dog loves to stand on the armrest so I purchased these, I tried just pushing them down into the window but as soon as I started getting going one flew out the window luckily I was able to turn around and go back in grab it, so follow instructions. The sticky tape doesn't stick as well as I would like them to. I have to press on them from time to time and make sure that they're secure

The tabs make it easy to install/remove. It comes with stickers to secure it to the door, but I don't put anything like that on the inside of my car, so I just have to ensure the window isn't all the way down and it works fine...just a quick adjustment when I roll it up to push the tabs back down. Keeps the puppy slobber off my actual car door (I was tired of wiping it down every day - so it's nice to have this in place)

I bought the covers to protect my doors from adults with special needs (one has a tendency to bite, the other doesn't really care where his shoes go) and it worked really well for that purpose. The photo you see shows the cover quite dirty as I haven't cleaned it in a while. But it's better than my door! I did not use the velcro, as I didn't feel like destroying my doors with glue. So if I open and close the windows the tabs tend to come out, but it's not a big deal. For dogs - without velcro the cover slides to the corner when my dog looks out the window. So it's not ideal, but still does the job.
