This comforter is the GOAT. Like many married couples, I was considering divorcing my husband for hogging the blankets at night. Instead, I decided to look for a second comforter so I can be the independent bed burrito I know I am. I had a few caveats: I didn’t want to spend a ton of money because - to be honest - it was a frivolous purchase, I wanted it to be lightweight so I can also drag it to the living room for movie nights, and it needs to be warm enough for chilly nights but light enough for summer. This blanket checks all of those boxes and then some (the fabric is ridiculously soft/smooth/feels like a gentle caress). I have purchased two of these now in the slate gray color. The first was for a twin XL dorm room bed. I purchased the twin/twin XL size and it fit perfectly. The dorm was an old brick building in an area that gets snowy and cold around 15 degrees in the winter and very hot around 90-100 degrees in the summer and this comforter worked perfectly year round. My daughter likes it so much, she held onto it and uses it as a couch blanket now. I purchased another for our RV in a full/queen size for a queen bed and it fit great as well. It has plenty of extra hang over on each edge. My husband sleeps hot and I am always cold and it fit both of our needs well. The comforter arrived vacuum sealed and I questioned how it would fluff up like I was expecting but it took shape within minutes of unpackaging it. It had a chemical smell upon opening it but after washing and drying it and airing it on the bed, the smell went away quickly. It washed and dried nicely. The one we have had for two years still looks great after many washings. The price is right and the quality seems to hold up well. I highly recommend this comforter! ... show more

I could give it another 5 due to the fact that it kept moisture off the rest of the bed coverings when our incontinent dog had an accident. The first 5 stars are for how soft and cuddly it is. I washed it and it kept its shape. I live in Florida so the weight is perfect. Great buy.

Hands down this is the one. I was worried about buying it online. And could tell the difference between the 1400 and the 1600. The 1400 was 79 dollars. The 1600 was only 43 bucks. I got a king 1600 and put it on my queen bed Its very soft and comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a light weight comforter. It wouldn't keep you warm in the winter if you were just using it with a sheet. I was disappointed because looking at the picture I thought it would have more coverage on the sides of the bed. They must have shot the photo using a king size comforter on a queen bed. I have a king size bed and it just barely covers the mattress. You'll need a dust ruffle to cover the box spring. ... show more

I do not like how quickly laundry detergent seems to mess up the solid color - I washed this thing one time and it came out with strange marks on there - same as some others have posted in these reviews. Although, I must say...even with the marks on the blanket, I absolutely LOVE this thing! It is SO comfortable, I have been wrapped up inside of this thing every night since I got it...I feel as though it actually helps me sleep better. It is not a winter-time blanket, dont depend on it if your heater isnt working - but if your house maintains steady average temperature, then I HIGHLY recommend this blanket. ... show more

I was impressed with how much warmer this kept me considering how thin (one inch thick?) and light it is. The weather finally dropped into the low 40s at night here in LA, which doesn't sound very cold, but the head of my bed is near a huge sliding glass door, so I have to keep a portable space heater near my bed to keep from waking up in the middle of the night from the chill off the glass. Which is not only a pain in the ass, but kind of wasteful. I considered getting a new goose down comforter, but my dog got my last one dirty in just a couple of years, and I didn't feel like spending $300 on another one right this minute. So I decided to give this a try. I've only used this for one night, but it was just what the doctor ordered -- I was able to turn down my space heater by 5 degrees and felt warmer and more comfortable at night than I had in a while.
