I purchased these to avoid scratches when pruning and working around shrubs. I've only worn these once so far and it wasn't around shrubs, but it was a sunny day and these sleeves did the job to protect my arms against sunburn. Love the way they look and they stay in place nicely. Edited: Wore these again yesterday and was careless working around the !@#$% thorny !@#$% barberry shrubs and did get scratched. Still need to be careful, even with this protection!! It's not like these are heavy duty like, say, suede. Useful especially for cucumbers! They are one size fits all, I am a normal size small, they do slip down my arms alot. I try to wear a shirt with sleeves so the elastic band has something to grab on to to prevent it from sliding down. Wasy to wash, line-dry.

Not for small people. Being advertised for women they should be. At 125 pounds they slide down. Very colorful and cute and a little thicker than others I ordered. But not very elastic and they slide down. I don't know how much I will wear them. Probably great for a larger person. With thumb holes they allow me backs of hands to be covered. ... show more

Wearing a brace sucks. I dont like the socks they give at the pt place. This is soft and cool. Comfortable for all day. Not compression which was important. Material feels cool. Not a knit more like swim suit material and sock stuff
