  • Sizing Off
Size: 7.5 Color: Chocolate
hope this helps others looking to buy bearpaws. I wear a size 8 and had ordered a size 8 which is the same size of some old UGG Boots I have which fit perfectly. The size 8 in Bear Paws felt a little loose so I wear them with thick socks. I ordered another pair in a different color but got the 7 1/2, which I've only worn a few times. Again, the fit was better than the size 8 with a very thick thermal sock. Tried them again with a regular sock and they feel way too loose and the heel slides up and down when I walk. Also keep in mind that within time these will stretch...so now I'm wondering if I should've ordered a 7 to wear with regular socks. If you have a store close to you that carries these I would suggest going in and trying on the different sizes before ordering online. Apparently these tend to run a big larger than your actual shoe size. Uggs are great but have gotten way too expensive. I'm happy with how these look & feel except can't seem to get the sizing right....will continue with wearing them with a thick thermal sock ... show more

  • Would have been a 5 star review, but....
I've always thought that these type of boots were ugly, but I tried on some Uggs in the store and they were so comfy! I still couldn't bring myself to pay that much, though. I know some people swear by their Bearpaws so I turned to my trusty Amazon to look at reviews. As usual they ranged from go up a size to go down a size and from they fell apart to good quality. The bearpaw website recommends sizing up due to the sheepskin lining. I usually wear a size 6 1/2, but I wear a 6 in cowboy boots and most flats. I wear a 5 1/2 in Minnetonka moccasins which are suede. I'm 5'3 1/2" and 113lbs with skinny ankles and small calves. In my experience, leather stretches with wear and i didn't want my boots to be flopping around my legs within a month. Also, reading the reviews it seems the sheepskin flattens with wear and I didn't plan to wear any socks with them. So, I ordered a 6 in the luggage color which turns out to be a nice light chestnut color. They look better on than I thought and frankly they are so comfy that I don't care if people think they're ugly. The sole is nice and sturdy and the boots are so soft and warm. I didn't see any signs of poor construction or glue marks on mine. They fit pretty close to my calves (not tightly), but I can easily tuck pants into them due to the lining. When putting them on the first time I had to tug and then my foot settled in with a whump. There was also some heels slippage when I walked. These are both signs of a good fit in cowboy boots and I guess they are in these boots as well. They are easier to get on now and the small heel slippage does not irritate my feet. I love them! I've been wearing them really frequently at home on my hardwood floors and out on errands and they still look great, but I recommend that you put some suede water and stain repellant on them. The only reason they are 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have worn the sheepskin lining off in the right insole after only a month. This could just be my gait pattern. I got my boyfriend the Bearpaw slippers and after over 6 months and daily wear they still look like new and the lining is still plush. I am already eyeing a shorter pair of boots for summer wear around the house. I would buy from this seller again. I ordered the boots at night on the 1st and received them on the 5th nicely packaged. ... show more

  • Just what I expected! 😍
Size: 7 Color: Hickory
If you’ve ever bought plush lined shoes you’ll know they fit a little snug at first. These are no different! You will have to break them in so yes, they are tight around the toe. However I don’t think I would recommend sizing up bc they will form to your feet after you’ve worn them a few times. When I received these boots, they weren’t in a Bearpaw shoe box which I though was a little odd. But no worries they are definitely new boots with tag! Overall very happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend buying them! ... show more

  • Bearpaw boots
Size: 8 Color: Hickory
After reading other reviews wasn't sure but I thought I'd take a chance cuz I really like the bearpaw boots, if you catch any of those bad reviews don't pay attention these boots were packaged well came in very good shape very comfortable just like I expected them to be. I bought two pair very pleased with both and the price was exceptional compared to other places I've looked they could run up to $90 a pair I didn't pay anywhere near that. Thank you for my beautiful new boots my feet will be happy and warm. ... show more

  • Size up to only a 1/2 for a comfortable fit. Great boot!
Size: 7.5 Color: Hickory
I’m a Bearpaw fan and these boots do not disappoint. Great alternative to its high end, more expensive, competitor. The faux fur is lined throughout and super warm. Sizing: I’m an overall 7 1/2 kinda gal with a narrow foot and narrow calf. (Which makes it difficult for me to find a great fit!) I occasionally need to size up to an 8 for boots depending on the toe cut. For these... I recommend a 1/2 size up from your norm. I love that this boot style offers 1/2 sizes. Where the 7.5 fits good it’s just snug enough to feel my toes pushing on the inside toe edge (not so uncomfortable it’s painful but not comfortable enough to wait it out and hope for a stretch if that makes sense). Also you’ll need that little extra wiggle room even for thin socks. I know it’s confusing as our fits are so unique but with my slim build and fairly true sizing I feel confident with a 1/2 size up recommendation. Ladies with a wider calf my hunch is the calf size would still fit nicely. If it helps~ I’m 5’6” and 115 lbs on a great day. 7.5 my go to size. Sized up to an 8. ... show more
