I’ve tried a few hair catchers since I cut my own hair and they’re all pretty much the same basic concept. The vinyl on this is a bit thicker and feels more solid than some of the cheaper ones I’ve tried which are extremely thin. The beard hair rolls off pretty easily during cleanup. The only thing is that all of these hair catchers are so wide. I don’t have some extravagant bathroom with large mirrors. It’s just a small mirror so there’s a reasonable gap and looseness to it, especially at the edge of the mirror, and the catching area is a bit narrow. You can sort of position it flat against the mirror and widen it a little but it has a tendency to become loose so there’s hair that can fly off a bit when using an electric trimmer and not catch properly. But it’s not too bad and it still does a decent job and makes hair cleanup a whole lot easier.

Hair sticks just a little to the apron, but it's mostly good there. My bigger issue is with the Velcro used to secure the neck part to your neck; for some reason, the sharp part of the Velcro faces in toward your neck instead of out. This leads to constant pricking from the sharp plastic while trimming my beard. With only a little effort, you can fold your way around this, but I shouldn't have to; it seems like an oversight.

My son was shaving over the sink and his whiskers were starting to clog our drain. We found this on Amazon and ordered it immediately. A clever way to avoid the mess and no more clogs, plus it folds up to store between uses. One of those things you didn't know you needed until you get it!

I am a 26 year-old college student that appreciates having a clean cut look. My beard may be invisible in pictures, but I need to maintain it from time to time to keep myself from looking like Post Malone. I’ve been trimming my beard for the past 2 years now and I have struggled to find a direct solution for how to handle the mess! The hair falls everywhere and eventually clogs up the drain. If I leave a couple of stragglers in the sink or on the floor, my girlfriend turns into a drill instructor and lets me hear it. First world problems I guess, am I right? Well while watching Shark Tank one night, I came across the beard bib. I got a gag gift vibe from the entrepreneurs’ sales pitch but the idea was simple enough and worth a shot so I jumped to Amazon to order one. I’ve got to say, this has been an absolute GAME CHANGER. The prime delivery got to my house the next day and the beard bib immediately solved my problems. Everything functioned as was shown on the instructional videos. The materials all worked well. The bib itself is made from what looks like a smaller version of the barber shop cape. The velcro straps around the neck are very easy to adjust and even easier to don/take off. After shaving, you can easily wrap the bib up and get to a decent sized trash bin and watch the hair and all its glory make a safe exit to the trash. The suction cups are used to connect the bib to the mirror and keep the bib level with the user. They however are something that could be done a little bit better. If you fail to wet them before sticking them on your mirror, you will cause more of a mess than you previously thought was possible. Basically, all of the hair will fall into the sink... I do not recommend this product if you have a small mirror to latch on to. Small being one that’s less than your average vanity mirror which is about 24 x 28 inches. You definitely need one that takes up a fair amount of wall space to keep hair from funneling out of the bib. I also do not recommend that you use this product with a razor. It’s only a successful experience if you use clippers. I feel like that is self explanatory. So, if you have a standard vanity mirror, an angry girlfriend, a set of clippers, and a beard that needs a trim, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase this product for the decent price of $14.99. There are many products out there with a similar name and price, but I haven’t given those a try yet. If you find one at a cheaper price and it looks similar to this bib, you could purchase that one instead.

I think the product idea is pretty good. It works better for longer hairs, so if you do a weekly trim of short hairs, it is kind of hard to get all the hairs to fall into the trash without them getting on the floor too. I have to use a brush to collect them and push them, which is hard since the material is very mailable fabric. After 2 or 3 goes you get most of the hairs, which is expected. My main gripe with the deluxe version that it comes with an 'accessory tray table' that literally does not work. As a matter of fact, I would go as far as to say it makes the product perform worse, as the 'tray' catches and holds on to hairs as they go into the garbage. The tray is not hard plastic, it is a very soft plastic, so it can't hold anything. It doesn't seem like it can be removed or anything, so that means you're stuck with it and can't even add cardboard to help. The preview image where its holding a beard brush + extra accessories is very misleading. It can't even hold my brush let alone anything else. No wonder the 'deluxe' version is only a dollar more expensive than the regular. If I were you, I would buy the regular one. Also, small issue, but the one I received in the mail was already open, at least the box was. The package comes in another small plastic package within the box, which was closed. It did look clean so I decided to use it, but that is sus at the least.
